Glad to hear your shoulder is improving. A 4 still seems like a lot if there's still a possibility of improvement. Hopefully they'll keep working with you!

I tire my shoulder a while back. It's almost back to normal.

There was a few things I did and some still do.

When pain was at 3-5 level- I used lidocaine patches to help with the pain andvalso stabilize the joint. I also got a shoulder immobilized brace from Amazon to wear that so I don't move the shoulder beyond a "safe are" - allowing the ligaments to heal. I wear the brace even to bed so I wouldn't accidentally sleep on that side and push the ligaments out - stretch them.

Now I use K-tape. It really helps to support the joint. Check that out.

BTW- I injured my right shoulder app 20 years ago for the first time. Tath was year I stopped using over the head sport bra. My ex had to cut it to get me out of one. The pain was too much for me to try to take it off.

This is the bracelet got. Really helped me to stabilize my shoulder. I never used the hand part - as longbas I restricted the arm movement away from. The body I could use the rest on my arm to do things.

well, it's afternoon now - so g'afternoon, everyone!

I had to deal with my mother again this morning, who was hysterical because she heard her jaw pop and thinks she broke it. Unless someone punched her in the mouth - or she had a bad fall - I kind of doubt it. I did read that TMJ can be caused by arthritis in the jawbone, and since she has arthritis pretty much everywhere else, I'm guessing that might be what's going on. The dentist can see her tomorrow morning, so we'll soon find out. I'm going to politely ask her if she can start having the driver at her senior living community take her to some of her more routine appts (like regular dental exams, eye exams, etc), and I can continue doing the last-minute ones, like this jaw one, since they're supposed to give the driver a week's notice. I'm just anticipating that once MIL goes home, and Medicare stops paying for a home health aide for her, I'm going to have to start carting her around to appts, too, since DH still works (he can probably do things like grocery shop for her, since he can do that whenever - and I already do that for my mother). I'm already feeling like carting my mother around and running errands for her all the time is a bit much, and once I add MIL into the mix, it WILL be a bit much. Hopefully my mother will be agreeable - for some reason, she seems reluctant to ask their driver, but that's his job, and it's a free service for the residents, so....???

I also had to take one of the cats to the vet this morning (semi-annual exam), and then I went over to the gym for an hour. This afternoon my Mah Jongg group is meeting. I'd really rather stay home and try to finish up all the readings for my classes that I've had to skip because of all the crap going on with the moms the last few weeks, but I'm kind of stuck going. Hopefully I'll get all this class stuff done in time before the professors take the course pages down.

the cat - he's fine, but he's gained four lbs since his surgery last fall. So he's back to where he started (he looked GREAT last fall - but then, he was sick and had lost weight because of that. But weight-wise, he looked terrific!). But now he's back up. Too bad they don't do bariatric surgery on cats.

QOTD: I don't have a favorite. I've liked some actors when they were in certain films, but not necessarily all the films they were in. Like someone above said, I tend to like certain directors for their bodies of work rather than actors. Like Wes Anderson - or Alfred Hitch****

B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS/L: protein shake

Before Mah Jongg snack: probably just L&F yogurt with tahini

After Mah Jong snack: if needed, chocolate "mousse" topped with raspberries

D: coronation quiche, salad

have a great rest of your day!

Good afternoon folks. Hope QJB is feeling better this afternoon! Please listen to your body QJB!

my day has been **** So I do have to have an egd and colonoscopy...just not sure when. I am probably going to have to have at the least a revision surgery on my pain pump...at most a removal. If my urine retention gets worse after this uppage in pain meds it's hasta la vista to the pain pump. If I don't get worse then they'll likely have to open up and suture the pain pump down as it is still flopping! They upped the pain pump by 20% and it's not touching the pain yet.

I'm pissed off and in a really ****ty mood.

my brother and SIL are just so lazy and disrespectful. Oh and Percy left a turd on my bed. So I'm a salt pillar right now...very very salty.

QOTD: no one in particular for me.

food is ok but not great...I had 2 thin is crisp lemon Oreos and a few pringles. Given the stress I'm under I am pretty shocked I'm not constantly shoveling food in.
