What's on your Tuesday Menu, y'all?
Good morning! We are on the road to Springfield, Il. Going to check out all things President Lincoln. We had a FABULOUS time in Chicago. I'll wait for my cohort in crime to post things then I'll add. He's got the amazing memory. I'm just a bunch of oh! Oh! Ohhhs!
food choices yesterday were very good given the restaurant/rig/game situation. I felt proud and in charge of myself.
QoTd. Really like Emma Watson. And if Max Theriot makes a movie you could probably count me in.
foods today
B. Was leftover blackened chicken breast. I did not get full, but I'm patiently waiting for the dense protein to do its thing.
l. Roadside somewhere and leftovers. Maybe the poached egg and veggies
D. Roasted chicken thighs. Avocado because it HAS to be eaten today. A baby potato or two.
Peace Everybody.

Late night for me, so I will post tomorrow.
Sunday night after our epicurean adventures in the city, we were all crashed on the family room couches, watching Bottleshock and drinking wine, when I hear this little voice from the darkness:
"Can I have another scallion fritter?"

I didn't know who max was so had to look him up! Looks like he was in the point break remake, which I haven't seen but now I see the Keanu/Swayze movie having a repeat viewing soon, lol

we went to Springfield once years ago and did all the Lincoln stuff. Make sure you go to the tomb - I thought that was the most interesting part. Chicago is great - my father was from there, and I still have relatives there. Plus it's not that far from here, either. We really enjoy our Chicago get-away weekends...
G'morning all!
Ooh la la...a thread started by Grim.
Take care of that tiny partner of yours, because she is stubborn and thinks she can just work through everything.
No big news in my neck of the woods. Finally finished my physical therapy sessions. The shoulder has gone down from a pain level 7 to 4, and the knee is in good shape. Now he will write a report back to the orthopedic Dr and we'll go from there. For the knee he recommended I continue the exercises he has given me to strengthen the gluteus medius. He thinks my shoulder might get better with time by continuing to do the exercises he has given me but I'm not sure. After all the praise and optimism yesterday, when I got back home I got stuck in my sports bra because the shoulder was not cooperating.
QOTD: Not a big actor fan to drop everything. I like movies and I love the actors but nothing along the lines that if so and so is in a movie I have to see it. I'm more interested in the story. I just saw A man called Otto, and I'm still miffed that they think a name like Ove is too hard for Americans to pronounce, or they changed the ethnicity of the kind neighbor from middle eastern to Mexican.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Costco chicken skewers
- Protein pudding, Iced coffee w/PP
- TJ chicken fajitas
- E: cardio + weight
Happy Taco Tue!

I haven'****ched Otto yet for essentially the same reason. People can say Ove...and why do we have to remake everything? Many times the original version is better -- Broadchurch, Torchwood, the dragon tattoo movies, so many

Ive tried to watch the original, but can't find it with subtitles or dubbed. I don't want to watch it without some kind of understanding.
But I did like the remake, very much.

totally agree. There was a Dutch horror/psychological thriller film called "The Vanishing" that was released in 1988. Truly chilling - one of the more disturbing films I've seen - but really, really good. A few years later (early 90s, I believe), Hollywood remade it as some typical Hollywood slasher thing. I didn't even bother - I'm sure I would have been appalled.
