Your family and the weather look great. It is wonderful that you had that get together.

Long before there were things like protein powder and impossible burgers, I wanted to make a healthy, no-meat meal. I spent all day cooking down soybeans in order to get them soft enough. I chopped carrots, tomatoes, celery, onions, green peppers, and fresh herbs. I formed it into a meatloaf and served it for dinner. It looked really good. We each took one bite, gagged, and threw the rest away. My first and last soybean meal.

that's funny, it would never have occurred to me to try to make my own tofu! Good for you for the effort!

I wanted to help save the earth from the effects of pesticides and methane gases. Hoped that we could avoid climate change. It was early 1970's

Good morning ~ Great pics! College algebra made me cry for sure. Happy to be home. I slept much better but I'm still sore from the damage done. It will only get better, so I will give the complaining a rest. Also, I am laying off the Tylenol. I've been overusing since my rib thing and surgery and I need to give my liver a break. Today I am going in the office for a half day so i will catch up on what I missed. They are onboarding my replacement person next week but I'm not sure of her start date. It will be a lot of work to train her, but after that it should be smooth sailing. After work I have a pedi. Looking forward to the Derby tomorrow, no party but for us it's still a big deal. I can't eat or drink, but I can bet!!

QOTD - I once made NE clam chowdah and added flour directly in the soup to thicken. Raw flour! and it ruined it...I'm still crying.

Accountability - My protein cereal was delivered yesterday and I had a small bowl before bed. It was delicious.

d- meatball and sauce

I am up a pound today from Monday morning and I'm not changing my tikker for that! Maybe I'm retaining, but my normal schedule will help. I refuse to get discouraged.

Have a great day!

I'll leave you with this little cutie:

Enjoy the being at home in your own bed...and don't let one pound (especially during a travel week) have any impact on your attitude, you've got this and you are doing excellent!

I have done the same thing with flour thinking that it would mix in with the broth. Clumpy flour bits in your soup is a deal breaker.

All baby animals are so cute!
