It's May 1 -- What's on your menu?
Mornin' All!
I have a group coffee meet-up this morning, followed immediately by my book discussion group. Vet appt this afternoon. It's still cold here with a chance of rain, so I'll probably go to the gym to exercise. I haven't done youtube walking/cardio dancing videos in awhile, but I'm still burnt out on them (they're my main winter exercise) - so the gym it is.
QOTD: warm weather! This has been the coldest spring I can remember having in a L-O-N-G time!
B: protein shake. I'm going to add some avocado so that I hopefully get through until lunch (may not be hard anyway since I have meetings all morning..)
L: oatmeal topped with L&F creme brulee yogurt and tahini
AS: raw vegetables with dip, pita crackers with leftover "Indian chickpea dip" that I made for that cookbook group on Saturday
D: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with cranberry/cherry compote
have a great day, everyone!

Good morning, everybody!
Safe travels QJB and Grim.
I'm back in Chicago. Pick up went pretty smoothly. My son was largely packed and the school was flexible about using permitted parking. However they cart rental was running behind, so we had to postpone his checkout time from 2:00 until about 4:00. We never made up that 2 hours, I was just too tired.
We drove from Birmingham to Louisville on Friday night (6 hours, plus 1 hour time change, plus 1 hour dinner) and then from Louisville to Chicago on Saturday morning (5 and 1/2 hours) . Although my son used the kitchen as a two day staging area, the vast majority of his stuff is now put away.
Yesterday I returned the rental car, worked out and tried to do some things to get ready for the week.
QOTD: January through mid-April is our hibernation season and the rest of the year is social season. All the things are happening in May: our trip to Bermuda, Dead & Company, Blink-182, out of town visitors, all three kids coming home at various times.
Breakfast: Egg sandwich
Lunch: Roast Beef
Dinner: Chili
have a great day, all!
