Good morning everyone and welcome to Monday and MAY....how did that happen?!

I love when a new month starts on Monday -- it's like a double dose of possibility!

QOTD - what has you excited about May?

I'm excited because May is the beginning of outdoor concert season and all the spring/summer type events. I have two concerts and a wine/chalk festival this month and it will be nice to get outside and get some fresh air throughout the month.

My weekend was busy with our systems work and I think the whole week will be as well but while it didn't go perfect, it wasn't a trainwreck; some things are just hard and you get through them.

I'm starting the month at 239 miles on my rowing target so I'm ahead of schedule for the year still which is good, I have some work travel so I like having that cushion there. I will get in a row this afternoon or maybe some boxing, depending on what time I get back from the office.

Menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

skyr

builtbar

cheesy chicken green chili

Have a fantastic Monday and May everyone!

Good morning from the road! Grim and I left at about 3:30am and we're somewhere in NY now. We're making great time! We chose the ABC Murders - an Agatha Christie book for our first audio book :)

JB QOTD: I'm currently looking forward to our first bathroom stop! But then I'm generally just thrilled for everything about May. We have CookieCon, baseball games, graduation parties, and warm weather ahead :)

Grim QOTD: Our garden and baseball!

We're stopping for breakfast in an about an hour. Hopefully we'll find a diner with good eggs. I'd love to not have to stop for lunch and keep going from there but who knows. I have a ****tail hour thing at 5:30 with some of my cookie college buddies and I have no idea if that includes food. Basically, no idea what's happening today but I will do my best to make great choices!

It's a business group I'm part of that is just for small biz cookie peeps. It's probably the most kind and supportive place on the internet (outside of this group of course!). I'm very excited to meet some of my friends this week!

are you taking I-90 all the way? We drove that once from Boston back here to Madison - I thought we would NEVER get here! At least you're only going to Sandusky, a little over halfway to here. I remember stopping in Binghamton for lunch...or at least some break. One of DH's former girlfriends lived there, although we didn't stop in to see her (!). As I recall it was a nice town, but way too isolated. There are some really long stretches between civilization on that route - not sure I'd want to do that again. At least you brought audiobooks!

I know you'll have a great time at the conference. Is it at the Kalahari? We have one of those about an hour from here. The place is ...interesting. Ours has an African theme - I don't know about the one in Sandusky - but I find the one here really bizarre.
