What's on your Sunday Menu?

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a refreshing weekend!

It was a glorious 70 degrees and sunny yesterday afternoon so I enjoyed some time on the deck reading. Hoping for a bit more of the same this afternoon, in between work conference calls. We're not starting until 8 my time today so I have my 1 hour endurance row to get in as soon as I finish this cup of coffee.

QOTD - if you are a caffeine consumer, do you need it right away or do you function for a bit without it? I don't need it and if I have stuff to do in the morning, I frequently don't get my coffee until I"m on my way out of the house --- but I enjoy having my first cup with the tree lights on and having a quiet entry into the day when it's possible. It's more about the ritual than the caffeine, I think.

I attempted to watch the new show Citadel on Amazon yesterday because I really like the cast but it's very not good. I kept getting up and doing other things, in different rooms, so having to rewind it; I think the first episode is under 40 minutes and it took me almost 3 hours to get through it, lol. I am thinking of re-watching the first 3 Indiana Jones movies before we get the new one at the end of June (we all pretend Indy and the Crystal Skull doesn't exist right? Or is that just me?).

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

B - I have a pack of bacon that expires next week so I'll make some up for breakfast the next couple of days.

L - barebells bar or cheesestick

D - taco fixings

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Expiring bacon. You really know how to make me laugh.

We're stuck in about 3 weeks of 60/40 weather. High around 60 every day, low around 40 at night. And rain just about every other day. We leave for Ohio about 3 am tomorrow morning for the week, and I'm hoping it's nicer when we get back.

I'm going to try Citadel, but I saw a bad review a couple of days ago. Apparently Amazon is building a whole web of spy shows that will all be interconnected, with some in other countries and languages. Citadel is supposed to be their keystone, tying them all together. It's a great idea, but sounds like it's off to a poor start.

QOTD: I'm not a coffee or tea person, but drink about 3 liters of diet soda every day. It usually has caffeine in it, but I can't tell the difference when it doesn't. Now I'm curious about the caffeine content compared to coffee. I don't think I've ever looked it up.

It's a shame because it could have been great. They did a good job with the Jack Ryan/John Clark adaptations but this one so not. It has a huge budget but my bestie says it looks like it's an ABC series and she's not wrong.

You replied in another thread about ham...have you had any of the Jamon Iberico? It was featured in a few European restaurants I've been to. Sadly, it's wasted on my apparently underdeveloped palate.

I mean, a taste of it at a fancy restaurant is definitely on the more affordable side versus buying the $1,500 slab, sure! It's shockingly expensive.

I read an article about it, years ago. It described how the pigs had the run of the town, went to bed on clean sheets, had classical music piped it. It was just incredible.

That's sounds like the life...except for that whole getting eaten at the end of it!

that's kind of like the fancy beef they have in Japan. The cows get regular massages, among other things (or so I've heard)
