What's on your Thursday Menu?
Thanks. I know Marilyn always has high hopes for these drives only for the boys to spend the whole time sleeping or on their electronics. So I am trying to manage my expectations.

Thanks, much better. You sent me a joke last week and I was afraid if I laughed to hard I would have an accident.

Safe travels, Jim! Hope your son appreciates the time and effort! He's in such a good place thanks to you two. :)
Glad you're continuing to feel better.

Good morning all. Nothing exciting here, mostly just daily chores and the like. I've got a little sewing to finish up. And getting ready for next week's trip.
QOTD: I never have a phone or tablet next to the bed. I have an on/off switch anyway -- I'm either sound asleep or wide awake. I'm out cold pretty quick, and when I wake up I just need to get up.
Ham ham ham. I think the cat may be getting tired of it though. He's usually like a dog. When he smells it he comes and sits next to my chair, with a starving look in his eyes -- I often think I hear Sarah McLachlan in the background. We literally refer to it as his Ham Spot. But the last few times he's ignored the Ham. Quitter.

Feels like I missed something. What are you sewing with the bee fabric?
Also, love Sarah. And now I'm thinking about Loreena Mckennett (sp) and must go dig up some music.

Mornin' All!
someone is coming to our house today to "seal" it so no critters can get in anymore (remember we had a racoon in our attic a week or so ago). The critter control guy said he saw evidence of mice in our attic, but it could have been from years ago - and he's probably right. We haven't seen evidence of mice around here in years (we rarely ever saw an actual mouse (helps when you have multiple cats), but we'd sometimes spot their "calling cards" (as my father used to say). I think it's likely that one of our remodeling projects plugged up whatever opening they were getting through. At any rate, all potential racoon and mouse "doors" will be sealed.
I have class this afternoon. As long as it's not too windy, I'll bike over to campus today. Otherwise, I'll take an earlier-than-usual bus there and get off early and walk the rest of the way.
QOTD: yes. I charge my phone overnight on my nightstand. It's muted then, though - and I'm so not-a-phone person that I'd have to have major insomnia and be super bored to get on it.
B: protein shake, coffee with half & half
MS/L: chickpea sandwich, kiwi
AS: sushi and/or Ratio yogurt
D: 1/2 a veggie burger, small sweet potato
have a great day, everyone!
