What's on your Wednesday Menu?
O hope your mom recovers quickly. I can relate, to a point.
I have many docs, but I'm reluctant to use some of the services and try to "natural" path first (acupuncture with ozone injections, supplements, etc..). When I broke a toe - I did not bother going for an xray - my regular chiropractor (I was going to see him regularly for adjustments) checked it - informed me that it's probably a fracture and that they wont do anything for it except taking my money and tape the toe to another one. I could do that on my own. But when I fell last year when traveling for business and seriously banged my hip - at my age - I wanted to make sure i did not fracture or chip my hip bones. I went for xrays to make sure I could put the whole weight on my leg, and just deal with it the "natural way". BTW: I had a HUGE hematoma that was leaking for 1 month making my whole leg black and purple all over...
I also got an abdominal/pelvic CT scheduled for next Tuesday. None of my CT scans ever detected hernia. Based on symptoms and in one case my determination - I had total of 4 hernia surgeries over the years. ALL of them were needed to fix the problems.

That sounds terrible for your hip. Did you just keep on until it healed itself, or needed treatment for the hematoma?
I hear you on the hernia. I don't have experience to know what a hernia feels like but I'm worried it's some kind of blockage or flipped intestine with how this feels. If it doesn't show anything, I'll keep asking about hernias as well. I'm just glad they're listening and getting imaging. Yesterday is the best day I've has. Saturday night I thought I might die. It's swinging wildly from day to day and I have no idea why.

That was my issues. When you have a herma - there is an opening that it was not suppose to be. The intestines' are moving around (and now - you have space for them to move around and they can get trapped inside the opening and twist. Depend on a day, the time of the day - the twist can be lose, or bad enough that could prevent the food from moving through. So enough pressure (and pain) has to be build to push things through.
Flips are the same. And there are adhesion bonds...
as for my hematoma - I took a good care of it. Initially weekly acupuncture with injections into hematoma to liquify it and drain. And IR light 2-3 x daily, and self-massages, and...hands manipulations. If the hematoma is not drained properly it may end up with a bump made from congealed blood, calcification in that area, etc etc. It took me app 3-4 months to have just minor bump that I worked on every other day (got lazy) for another few months. It's completely gone now. But at 62 - my concern was "no broken - fractured - chipped bone... My hip hit a very hard, very pointy corner of a concrete base of a fireplace.

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week, yay us!
QOTD - OVERtheSEAS
Usually busy Wednesday at work plus tonight I'm going to see Dungeons and Dragons which looks stupid but fun; we had some really good rain yesterday and today it's supposed to either continue to rain or turn to snow. There was even thunder which was lovely, if we get thundersnow today that would be delightful!
Rowing and stretching for exercise, depending on what time I get to the theater and what the weather is like, I might wander up to the bookstore (they are on opposite ends of the walking mall so it's a good stroll).
menu
coffee plus half and half x2
sausage and skyr
something out of the freezer for lunch
barebells or built bar at the movies
TBD on dinner
Have a great day everyone!

DD's boyfriend is a Dungeon's and Dragon's player. He said the movie was good but not as good as he had hoped. Which is probably inevitable.

I've never been a D&D player so I suspect I will be a much easier reviewer. It just looks like a fun, not serious movie with a great cast

Even Julia thought it looked good. I know absolutely nothing about D&D, except what I could glean watching Big Bang Theory. I suspec****ching the movie without knowing the game is more enjoyable.
