Right?! I was worried TBH after eating and not feeling anything. It's not the same as the first surgery with just 2 bites but, last night I ate a scrambled egg and was stuffed.

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

My weekend has great parts and sad parts.

Friday's Mexican potluck was a great success and everybody fiesta'd hardy. The lunch surfaced 50 club members. I'm glad I overbought. Would you take a sealed fruit platter from a party, and you didn't originally bring it? I feel it's inappropriate but have been hearing other opinions. My shrimp ceviche, chicken fajitas, and elotes went over like gangbusters and disappeared quickly. Everybody was like, 'You can cook? Are you Latino?'

My Dad is now uncomfortable, on morphine and Valium, but not in hospice yet. It is so hard to see him go through this over the past two and a half months. I've been with him all along his health journey and I just want peace for him. I'm anxious everytime I hear my phone vibrate but know the call is coming eventually.

QJB- Sorry your weekend was ****ty. People can be ****ty despite flashing their pearly whites. The only constant in life is cookies. If a cookie is feeling ugly, you can ice over the feelings. If a cookie is broken, you can use icing to patch it back together. They're sweet, they make you feel good, and good ones don't crumble under pressure.

Jim- Hope you're feeling better.

QOTD- As a doomsday prepper, I would hoard toilet paper. If I play my cards right, I will trade the TP for power. Soon, I will be a Warlord and have everything, muah hah hahk rubbing my grubby hands together. Sorry, no audible suggestions. You may want to avoid The Art of the Deal for business advice. It turns out the author isn't a good businessman as much as a shrewd businessman.

Accountability - Mexican throwdown in moderation. 1/2 elote, 1 corn tortilla, Puerto Rican rice, 1/2 tamale, so much food, so little stomach space. Bad Apple Bar - 1/2 bun fr burger & delicious garlic fries w ranch.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Chicken Skewers.

D: shrimp ****tail, hopefully a veggie.

Have a socially relevant day!

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Your cookie life-philosophy is just wonderful! I should make it my business tag line ;)

So sorry to hear that your dad is still struggling. I hope he starts to feel comfort, rest and peace soon.

If the host or person who brought the fruit tray told me to, I might. Sorry about your dad, it's a hard thing to go through for sure.

Would you take a sealed fruit platter from a party, and you didn't originally bring it? - absolutely not. .. unless the person who brought it decided to give it to the other. In general I'm not used to people take back what they brought unless I insist when it's my house. They ate my food, drank my drinks then ... take the plate with them even if they are leaving the party first-early. I'm so not used to that. I was shocked a few times when I moved to US. Plus asking for a plate to go of the rest of a dish I cooked ...Like - I'm not offering, they start loading their plate to go because they liked it so much. Really. That was often the a last time they were invited to my house for a party.
