My dna said I didn't have a drop of southern European blood so I don't know how it's possible but I'm becoming convinced we might be sisters, lol. Books were my reward as a kid and still are now.

Yes, she is the one who called me. She is always like this, doesn't let anybody call me while she is in the middle of it, she always calls afterwards and starts with "I'm doing fine now, but..."

That's rough with your mom. I'm glad it sounds like she has a working alert device, and that she does have multiple people checking in every day .

So sorry about being so far away from your mom, the helpless feeling is absolutely crippling.

I laughed out loud about the meme! So funny. I want to see that movie. I was hoping it was going to be the mystery movie this last Monday. I use to make sugar cookies for my kids to deco and give away to friends during special occasions. It was fun but lots of work.
today DD has dental surgery to have her wisdom teeth out midday. I also have a meeting with the case manager at the rehab facility my mom is in. Working from home due to these 2 appointments.
QOTD: I lived the Tricia Belden mysteries. Do you remember when you could order books from the scholastic company at school? I think it was scholastic. You would get the paper flyer with all kinds of books that were reasonably priced. My mom was always great about letting me order books. I was a book lover even back then.
Accountability: excellent. Didn't do my weight workout so it is on for today.

Hope the extractions went smoothly!
Ah, I remember the scholastic book fairs. I loved looking at what was out so I could find it in the library.
I also remember participating in the Book It program where you would get a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut if you completed your month. This thread is surfacing a ton of reading memories!
