What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! First off, I have to brag that I got Wordle on the 2nd try this morning, so I think it's going to be a fantastic day!
Last night was fun! Grim surprised me by taking me to an early release premiere for Are You There God, It's Me Margaret at one of our local theaters. I loved the book when I was a kid and they did a great a job with the movie. I didn't have dinner, but I did have about 1/2 small bag of popcorn.
Today is another day that will be different from the norm. Our friend is babysitting two of her grandsons this week during school vacation week and she's going to bring them over and I'll decorate cookies with them. They are in 1st and 3rd grade, so I'm just going to give them a crap-ton of icing and sprinkles and let them goooo. These are two really awesome little guys...it should be a blast :)
In less fun news, my hands are just getting worse and worse. My joints are so swollen that I cannot close my hand any more than this and it is so painful. I think it is time to see a doctor. I'll make the call today. I need my fighting fists back, dammit!
QOTD: What was one of your favorite childhood chapter books? My first favorite chapter book that I read a million times was called Sea View Secret. It was a very simple and sweet little mystery book about kids who move to a new neighborhood, make new friends and solve an old mystery together. Perhaps it was the start to my Cozy Mystery obsession :) My original copy is in about 30 pieces because the spine split, but Grim bought me a new copy for Christmas a few years ago!

Ok I?m the first viewer and the first comment or today so I?m feeling sort of special. Or, like an insomniac lol
Grim!!! How thoughtful is he?!?? Both the movie and the new copy of your favorite book!!! I think he and Sheila need to team up and provide a ?how to be thoughtful and surprise your love? boot camp. I have someone I?ll enroll lol
Im so sorry about your hands! Yes, please go to the doctor. I had an aunt with RA and she had to eat this ridiculously complex diet because she refused to take medicine.
QOTD: Ramona Quincy, Age 8! Though I loved Are You There God, it's Me, Margaret - I can't wait to see the movie with my 13 year old!
Accountability - my mom was feeling good last night (normally she?s exhausted and run down and only wants soup) and was in the mood for pizza, so that happened.
my train home is in 45 minutes and as soon as I post this, I?m praying for lobby coffee!
B: I don?t think I have many options. Likely something from the cafe at the train station. And coffee. And more coffee.
L: deli Turkey and havarti sandwich
D: tbd. I?m making a Costco run so something from there!
Ive really fallen off the wagon with exercise. I keep making excuses about how much I?m traveling so I?m not paying $140/month for my boot camp gym til I?m home May 2 from Montreal, but this means I?ve become a real slug.
In exciting news (for me!) I joined Sequence a few weeks ago on the recommendation of a friend who struggled with her weight. HER insurance authorized her to take Wegovy but mine refused Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. But I did finally get approved to take Contrave. Well, officially I will be taking: Buproprian and Naltrexone. Here?s to hoping I can lose some lbs!

I had to google Sequence, sounds interesting, hopefully they are able to build a nutrition and fitness plan customized for you!!

Partner training camp will be open soon. We can do it during summer camps so the women can be free of kids and partners at the same time. That would be a win in my book.
Good luck with the new regimen. I did take Contrave before WLS. It is supposed to cut your cravings, but at the time I was so long gone that it didn't affect me at all.
Happy to hear your mom had an appetite, one good day at a time.

Good luck. Let us know how the meds work for you.
There are 2 ways I can control cravings - very strict clean keto-paleo diet, or ... gastritis.
I do get jealous when I see people eating foods that I know I need to stay away from. ugh...

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Oh JB. I'm sorry about your hands. Guess even the best dough sheeter can't spare you from everything! Hope a doctor can help. Sounds like you had a fun surprise though!
QOTD- My first favorite chapter book was Black Beauty. I was too young for some of the messages but it's a great book. I had an old, beat up copy that I wore out even more.
I'll head to the store this morning before the rain. It will be good to do more walking. Just doctor follow up, so quiet day, otherwise!
Menu - Greek yogurt, protein oatmeal, seaweed, blueberries, peanut butter, some soup.
Happy Thursday, everyone.
