What's on your Monday Menu?

If I had a buttload of money the things I'd do! There is a man here who has a BBQ joint who has started this wonderful program for kids from the poorest areas in town. BUT he never turns any kids away. He is an angel on earth.
I'm also build libraries here in good ol Texas in cities that have banned books at their public libraries. Yup...they'd be the banned book library.

Good morning, everybody!
Hello from snowy Chicago. I don't know of we are getting any serious accumulation but it is starting to stick a bit, although not on the streets.
Well, I was every bit as useless at the store Friday as you all may have predicted. I did get to sample three different seating arrangements. The couch in shoes was by far the best: soft cushions, firm back support and a place to put my feet up. With a snack and football, I could have stayed there all afternoon. The couch by the ladies rooms where I held the bags was the worst. No back support, just a bench. The green chair in dresses was fine, but I spent very little time there.
Marilyn had some luck in shoes, she got a pair of Doc Martin sandals (totally copied those words off of the box), and a pair of canvas sneakers. At this point, I found out why I was accompanying her. The Nordstrom Reward Notes were attached to my credit card and she wanted to use them. Dresses were much less successful. While I tried to form an opinion about the quality of the green high backed chair, she took three laps around, declared herself overwhelmed, expressed regret that her shopper (circa 2003?) no longer worked there, posited that she would rather go to Kohls, and said let's go. On the way out she mentioned that she really should go shopping with her tennis friends rather than me. Well, yeah.
Then we went to RH Rooftop for drinks and dinner. Got to relive Bottleshock on the patio with a glass of Chateau Montelena Chardonnay.
The rest of the weekend was mostly a fail. I lost too much weight last week. My goal was to lose a pound a week for 6 weeks and get a DEXA. The first week, I lost a pound as per plan, but last week, I lost four more. Due to my tummy issues, no doubt. That quick loss seemed to exacerbate my dizzy issues. I am trying to stay hydrated and will have to stop drinking wine until whatever med is causing the problem is adjusted.
I didn't lift very well on Saturday morning. I decided which Asia cruise we are doing in 2024, but can't bring myself to actually book it until my son's schedule is actually resolved 100%. Because of the cold, I didn't get all of my lifting in yesterday, so I am behind the pace going into this week.
Saturday I made an appointment to get my car detailed yesterday, only to show up Sunday morning and find out that the place was closed. I guess that they don't open if it rains. Hopefully, I can have a more productive week this one and knock some of these items off of my list. I'm actually in a pretty good mood despite some setbacks and the snow.
I did get a box of primal condiments from Paleo Kitchen. I tried the Ketchup and it was really good! I also have tow barbecue sauces, one regular and one Korean, a Greek dressing, and a Buffalo sauce.

Lucky! I've never found a comfortable seat in the shoe department. It's like they want you to stand.

That's a lot going on! Hope your stomach is better now.
Primal kitchen spicy ketchup is great! I use it making homemade ****tail sauce with tons less sugar than store bought. I've tried a few of their products and the ketchup is best, to me.
I love getting to live a bit vicariously through traveling menuers...your trip sounds exciting!

Good Morning and happy new week! The concert on Thursday was amazing and I loved every minute. Friday we came home, Saturday was prep for the week including a hair cut and then yesterday was back to the other side of "the bay" for an A's game. So today is the start of payroll week and catch up from being out the end of last week.
