What's on your Monday Menu?

Good Morning! I had to check 10 times that today is really Monday. It's a holiday here, which may be why it feels weird? We celebrate Patriot's Day, which is really just Marathon Monday.... which is now "One Boston Day" celebrating the city since the Marathon Bombing. That was 10 years ago--amazing. Feels like yesterday.
Today is the usual Monday mix of cookies and papers, with class prep thrown in. Lot's to do!
QOTD: If you had unlimited funds to build a museum, what would it be? Mine would be a combination of a Fine Arts Museum and Children's Museum. I think it would be great to have an art museum that has real art, but all of the exhibits have interactive things for kids to do to help them learn about it and appreciate it.

Good morning everyone.
Well last night was a bit better than Sunday morning/night. Not great but better. I'll take what I can...any day.
Not a lot planned for the day. I have to pick up prescriptions. That's the only thing we HAVE to do. We don't have the kids today
I'll try to chainmaille today. My heart just wasn't in it yesterday. I did get a piece finished Saturday that I hope my client is going to be happy with.
QOTD: I'd like to do a certain kind of WWII museum. About the armored units and such. Lots of focus on the Sherman tank and using a lot of the photos my grandpa took during the war. Since there is so many WWII museums I could also choose a craft museum. About people like me who are craftaholics. I think that'd be a lot of fun!
pics from my FB memories. They are incense smoke with a bi color filter applied in photoshop, other wise they'd just be white. The first one though is the piece I finished.

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Yep. The weekends do fly by! Time is such a liquid thing in my book. It's hard to believe the bombing was 10 years ago, and that 9/11 was over 20. Whew. Aging. Good luck on your cookies and papers. Have you ever written a paper about cookies?
QOTD- Knowing me, it would be macabre events or history. There's so much we've buried or hidden that we really should know about.
Today is my first day of leave and I'm a bit nervous my phone will ring off the hook. Got some medical calls to make today for follow ups.
Accountability- Did so much better on water yesterday! Didn't end up eating the lunch meat with cheese. I'm doing badly on protein-forward right now.
Menu - Blueberries, seaweed, half a green banana, maybe homemade chicken soup I made in the crock pot yesterday. A piece of avocado, probably more peanut butter. Will try for meat rolls again.
Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

Why green banana? They are more difficult to digest that yellow. More starches, - it can give me belly ache.

Good question. Green bananas are the only ones I could stomach for years. I tended to just skip them entirely. It was also specifically on the dietician's list of foods he suggested I add in for the fiber and starch. Peanut butter was also on that list and i got feedback on it yesterday, too. Guess I always saw the resistant starch as a bonus because it would be better than sugar for your guts. So far, it seems to be going okay. Because of the issues. I'm spacing out all eating pretty considerably to see if I can tell which items cause distress. This one seems to be okay in the short term.
I do question a lot of the advice I get from this guy. He didn't want me to try an elimination diet until I get the weight loss under control. Not sure ignoring it is possible.

Except the resistant starch can cause really unpleasant GERD, gas and can block absorption of calories and vit and minerals.
I used to deal with RH - reactive hypoglycemia. I tried the "resistant starch" route, and that was very very unpleasant experience.
At this point - that may be blocking you ability to stop losing. Maybe sip taht and switch to avocado? great fiber, potassium, minerals and easy to digest and absorb fat.
