What's on your Thursday Menu?
on 4/14/23 5:06 am - Amarillo, TX
Thank you! It's very frustrating. With the heat coming I'm looking less and less forward to it lol. I hate the binder.

I had to google trigger warning. I am too old to need any TW. I have experienced too much of life and understand too much about human nature. No matter what horrible thing is in a book, there are people with even more horrible things in their brains. Not matter how strange or unbelievable something sounds, it has happened in real life to someone. I agree about the bible. I was raised Roman Catholic and reading the bible was not allowed unless you had a priest or other religious person to explain what it really meant. I did start reading it on my own when I was about 11 or 12 and learned a lot about things like killing babies, brutal warfare, and incest.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everybody!
When the ham bell rang this morning, I tapped out. In the famous words of boxing legend Roberto Duran,"No Mas." It was a great 4 days of ham, but this morning, i just couldn't.
John Mellencamp cancelled his Milwaukee shows the last few days because he was ill. At this point, the Chicago shows are still on. If the show is on me and Marilyn will have dinner in the city and attend, if not, I will just head home early. Maybe we will go for dinner in our town, instead.
In either case, I want today to be productive so that I can get my car detailed tomorrow instead of doing it during the weekend.
QOTD: I agree with JB.
Breakfast: RX Bar
Lunch: Steak
Dinner: Fish, most likely could depend on the concert
Have a great day, all!

Good morning all and Happy Thursday,
The train is almost pulling into the station and Friday is around the final turn.
Keep on rocking in the free world.
QJB - Have a great day off and enjoy TJs. Re QOTD: Do you have an active list of potential questions? You always ask the best questions. How bout one asking what items everyone buys from TJs, Aldi, etc.
QOTD - I'm split about trigger warnings. I see the need for trigger warnings for some things. I admit that I don't understand why some triggers set people off since I don't share their experiences. Today, everyone seems to walk on eggshells with triggers, wokeness, Etc. Although, I appreciate trigger warnings for some possible exposures. Personally, I actively avoid graphic videos of violence and death, sexual assault, riots, etc.

I second the ask of what people get at tj's. I'd been thinking about planning a run at some point but since it's a three hour drive each way, would need to be pretty intentional!
