My trainer, when she wants me to do something she knows I will hate like bridging, says "inhale and mentally prepare"...I think it works for a lot of things, lol

I love that. My trainer says breathing is over rated, just do it. This is when we go from one thing to another and I say give me a second, let me catch my breath.

A long time ago I mentioned to her I look forward to my weight days, simply because I hate my running days. She made sure my weight days were also days not to look forward to.

Mornin' All!

another beautiful day today - but of course it'll be windy (again!) after noon. Cripes. I'd love to ride my bike to class! I guess I'll bike this morning or take a long walk. Otherwise, I still have a lot of catching up to do. The Wisconsin Film Festival starts tomorrow (well actually, tonight..), so I'll have a lot going on this weekend.

QOTD: I just ignore them because not much bothers me - and sometimes I think they go overboard with this because what they warn is "graphic" or "upsetting" really isn't - and probably wouldn't be to a lot of (most?) people - although I can see where a very descriptive piece about sexual assault could be upsetting to a rape victim, for example. Although QJB mentioned sources that cover different points of view or ideas - a big "NO" on that one - I think people SHOULD read those - especially in college! So I'd say overall, no. But I guess I'm OK if the article/book/film contains physical or sexual abuse - just so people who've been traumatized by that in the past can mentally prepare themselves (or choose not to read it - unless, of course, it's required). Although I think it's fine when subjects like that aren't tiptoed around or preceded by warnings since those things do happen, and if nothing else, it helps me empathize with people who've been through those situations - and also helps me realize how prevalent (and horrible) certain situations are. (OK - I know this is a wishy-washy response - so sorry!)

B/MS: meal replacement shake, coffee with half & half

L: asparagus soup, chickpea sandwich

AS: if needed, cottage cheese with mixed fresh fruit

D: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote and 2 T grapenuts

have a great day, everyone!

Good mornin everyone.

Yesterday sucked. Manly brush off...again...at the pain clinic. I have to wait until Tuesday to see what'll happen next. Over it!

Not sure of the plans for the day. It my aunts birthday so we're either going out today or tomorrow for lunch with her. It'll be up to her to pick a place to eat at. Waiting for an order to be delivered of a couple of crystals to complete an order. Hoping for today but it may be tomorrow. If we don't go out today I need to get a lot of chainmaille done. I've been putting it off due to pain but need to get it done. We decided to try a different supplier of titanium, the grade is tougher and man is it hard on my hands in 16swg. It's pretty though and did t lose a speck of color. Will share pice tomorrow!

I'm taking some time off of FB...it's the only social media I use regularly. I'm tired of everything being a ******g match so to speak. Everyone has to have it harder than the next person. Like can't we all just be understanding that most of us is going though something! I don't get it! Yeah my back and legs hurt but that doesn't mean your pain and discomfort isn't valid and vice versa. Just struck a nerve the other day. Pain is pain, whether emotionally or physical. Pain is real and valid! Ok off my tangent.

QOTD: hmmm I'm really torn. As. A survivor of some traumatic stuff I in no way feel others should have to navigate what might offend me. I think in college and high school even...things need to be taught that are not pretty. Not everything can be sugar coated and tied up with a nice bow. At the same time I don't think they hurt in some instances. Social media for instance. I appreciate TWs for animal deaths because I don't want to be a blubbering fool. In my head I don't require TWs for anything though. Life can be utter **** Hiding from it doesn't change that.

food is just so unplanned,

Mel

How can they seriously expect you to wear a binder indefinitely? Wow.

Hope you get what you need for your projects.
