I'm here and doing well! I forgot - I like raisin bran too. I think I only liked what my dad liked!

Mornin' All!
it'll be another beautiful day here (80F/26.5 C - wow!!!), but unfortunately, very windy since rain is on the horizon. So - no biking for me, but I'll probably take another long-ish walk today. I have to take my mother to the dentist later this morning, and I have class this afternoon at 4:00, but otherwise - nuttin'. But I still have to get caught up with classes, watch a film for my film discussion group that meets Friday morning, and start looking at lodging options for my summer trip to Denmark and Sweden, now that I have a plane ticket reserved (I'll be there one more day than originally planned - but that's OK!). Given the health status of the two moms, I'm going to buy insurance with the "cancel for any reason" option this time (which I've never done). It'll add about 50% to the cost, but if I book hotels and B&B's that don't have a cancellation penalty (i.e., if you cancel something like 24-48 hours in advance), then I'll really only have to insure the airfare portion (and medical stuff is always included if you insure any part of trip). So in other words, it won't be too bad. I just remember once years ago having to cancel a trip because DH got sick, and his malady wasn't covered under the stupid policy we had (I know a lot of these companies try to get out of reimbursing you) - but if it's "cancel for any reason", then we should be good.
QOTD: I haven't eaten cold cereal in a long time, but I used to like granola a lot. Nowadays I occasionally just sprinkle a tablespoon or so on top of my yogurt. I "inherited" half a box of Grapenuts from my friend who died in February (his sister gave me that - as well as whatever food I wanted that was opened (since food pantries don't accept open boxes of food), and I particularly like that one on yogurt. Other than that, the only cereal I really eat is oatmeal....although I also inherited half a box of Cream of Wheat from the aforementioned friend. Haven't had that since I was a kid. I'll make some of that maybe this weekend...
B: either a protein shake or plain skyr with fruit and Grapenuts. Coffee with half & half.
L: whatever I don't eat for breakfast, I'll have for lunch
AS: cottage cheese with mixed fruit
D: I'd planned on asparagus soup and a chickpea/miso sandwich (again!), but I'm being weighed tomorrow morning for some research study, and those two items have a lot of sodium in them - so...maybe not. So not sure...
have a great day, everyone!
Is there an insurance company/agency you use for traveling? A friend of mine suggested a travel insurance, but I haven't check the link she provided me with.

Catwoman, who are you using for your travel insurance? I have always insured my pricey trips and it's never added 50% to the cost, not even 50% to the cost of just the airfare. I have used Alianz and Travelex; with Allianz, I've had both individual trips and an annual policy; Travelex is who insured our trip to Antarctica and my friend had no problems getting her claim approved after the fire (although I felt like they took too long to actually pay her but she was fine with it). Definitely shop around if you are getting costs like that!
