What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Morning Gang! 1/2 way there! I got through my to-do list with time to spare, thanks to my "friend" Eugene. But really! I made 12 batches of dough and had them all perfectly rolled out and in the freezer in 2.5 hours! I was expecting it to take closer to 6 hours, so this dough sheeter is a huge time saver, as well as saving my hands. Yay! Today I will finish up a few papers, and get all those cookies baked and frozen for my next class.
QOTD: Do/Did you like cereal? Do you have a favorite? I never liked it--even the sugary ones. I do like granola and Grape Nuts as an add-in for yogurt, but I never get any.
Accountability: Better but still not a perfect day. I mustered up all of my strength and threw away the cupcakes, yay! But I rewarded myself with a Girl Scout's Lean Bar for lunch and had a handful of crackers for no reason. Those are next to hit the trash. The rest of the day was okay. The weather was exceptionally perfect and I went for a nice neighborhood walk. Should the same today :)

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Sounds like Eugene is the gadget that makes a difference in your life right now. Good to hear.
QOTD- Do not like cereals other than oatmeal. We used to have cream of wheat as kids, occasionally. I also don't like milk, so maybe they go together?
My PCP yesterday wants the bloodwork from the surgery clinic and then to order more for immunological testing. She's not a fan of the fibromyalgia thought and says that can't pop up overnight. She's prescribed gabapentin and steroids that I'll go pick up today. I'm taking so many things now...hope they don't clash. I did upset the doctor by questioning her yesterday but unfortunately, I need to be okay with that. She didn't want to give me oral steroids...but I'm allowed to have them.
Texted my boss that I'm not going to the office today, and that I'm working on LOA paperwork that we need to discuss.
Accountability- I need to keep working at eating and drinking. Like, pretending I'm back to day one post op. Speaking of which...Amy, are you out there? :)
All I've got. Have a beautiful day, everyone.

I don't think of hot cereal as "cereal", but I do love Cream of Wheat. Bonus points if it has an entire stick of butter and a box of brown sugar on top :)

What are you treating with the steroids? My GP very rarely prescribes them, not because of any WLS contraindications but because she feels they walk a very fine line of helpful/hurtful. It's good the GP is supporting your LOA request if you feel you need it; there are so many hoops to jump through but that's the most important one!

She told me it's for any inflammation caused by both the issues. Looks like it's a seven day course of methylprednisolone. Otherwise, she wanted me to get a shot. You wouldn't know it from the last couple of months but boy I hate taking medications.
Haven't had steroids in years, so guess I'm willing to give it a try to see if it helps, at least to get this under control. Agree with you on the use of steroids...I didn't take them the last time they were prescribed.
