Potentially the same thing, they are sold in our biscuit (cookie) aisle!

Get you some TimTams and a glass of milk, you can actually suck the milk through the cookie like the best straw ever! It's a treat!

When on SSRI, after a few years I found myself craving alcohol if I started drinking any, just because. I couldn't have just one glass, and often I would stop on a way from work and get "just one glass - a small bottle" just to try to control my drinking. It was weird. My friend found an article connecting some SSRI intake and developing alcohol dependency. When I stopped talking SSRI I could control my drinking. But... my mental health got worse... back and forth.
I'm now on SNRI, older medication, and that is helping with mental health, and I have better control of alcohol if I don't start drinking. I can "not drink".
Just be aware that SSRI, and alcohol don't mix well.
And after WLS- there's possibility of developing alcohol issues. So be vigilant
P.S. I'm originally from Poland. "Vodka country". Until I had RNY and until app 4 years post op (3.5 years on SSRI) I never had issues with alcohol, alcohol craving or controlling how much and if I would have some. I never thought I would be the one telling people: be very careful with alcohol.

Thanks for the warning! I'm a while away from any alcohol but my partner is aware of potential RNY etc issues with alcohol. I've always been a good occasional drinker and really hope it's one thing I have kept from all this! Time shall tell.
