Do you have a strong hunch about what is going on, and just need it confirmed? Or are you just guessing at anything?

Well, with the fun new symptom it does appear that fibromyalgia is a distinct possibility. And apparently that can come with GI symptoms, which I didn't know. So with the bile reflux and potentially that, it might add up. I'm trying to rule out blockages or flipped intestines in my mind since the clinic has fully hung their hat on bile reflux only, and they're deferring any non-GI issues. I can Google till the cows come home..and I do...but trying not to imprint on it too much. Google did say one symptom of the bile reflux is unintended weight loss, which I most definitely have. And the camera down my throat last week did confirm the reflux, so my only question there is how many of the issues are that, or from something else. Best I have, so far! :)

Well, I certainly hope it is not fibromyalgia. I had a coworker who had it and she was miserable 24/7 and there really were no treatments except for plain old talk therapy and OTC pain relievers. Sounds miserable. Anything that would require surgery is awful too, but at least you know there is a quick fix with a blockage.

Yeah, I've suspected it off and on for years due to touch-tenderness and a couple of other things but really hoping it's not for all the reasons you outlined. My very good friend has it and some days she can't function at all. Much prefer if this is some kind of triggered autoimmune response or a combination of side effects from all the new meds the last few weeks. Or something!

IBS and fibromyalgia can be connected. I know when my IBS flares - my arthritis and my fibromyalgia goes crazy. Also rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis.
IBS - can be due to SIBO - a known issues for DS and some RNY.
Google sibo fibromyalgia studies
google sibo - ibs connection, also FODMAP
That's why I can't eat some foods. Not even a little.
