What's on your Tuesday Menu?
I hope they figure out your troubles. It's time to feel better.

Thanks, Grim! I'm on board with that. The figuring it out part apparently takes time, though. Sometimes medicine is slow! One day at a time. :)

I'd rather know what the problem is, then work on fixing it, than just get shrugs and guesses.

Agree. When they head that direction and start deferring, I ask another doctor. They did mention that I'll probably need another specialist and they're thinking fibromyalgia at this point, which is why it would be punted from my surgeon's office. Trying not to read into it while pursuing all the leads.

Truly hope you feel better soon! Keep advocating for yourself.
(I thought I had already replied but I either sent you a direct message or reported you by accident lol!!! Idiotic me!)

Thank you, I'm getting better about it. Doctors often seem like insurance adjusters at times. Blanket denial the first time around and force you to fight for answers.
And oops. Hopefully no getting banned! :)

CH, this is probably a coincidence, but the other Jim on here was SADI DS and lost way too much weight at first. I can't remember his whole screen name but it starts with JMM.

Hi Jim! I know who you're talking about. I make the occasional post on the DS board, even though some see my surgery as a Frankenstein version. He's responded to most of them and is one of the few other SADIs I've seen, and I think the only other active one! Might be worth reaching out.

They need to text the B6. High b6 can be as bad as low b12 or B.
I found that the hard way.

Thanks Hala. The clinic just called and I asked...they didn't test for that during the draw. I'll ask my PCP about it today. The rest of the bloodwork other than B is back, and it's all perfect.
The clinic called me back today with feedback. They're pretty much blaming all of the GI issues on the bile reflux identified last week. They're giving me a ten day rx of I don't remember what and I'm to call them after that. And keep taking the ursodiol. Dr. Google does match some of my GI issues to reflux, including unintended weight loss...but not all of them. Guess the next steps there are take my pills and see if they help.
The surgeon's suggestion if this doesn't work is to revise my surgery to a traditional DS. Not happening on my watch. I'll try the pills, though!
