What's on your Tuesday Menu?
G'morning all!
Very late post for me, and wow, 94 replies already. Our menu board is popping thanks to HRH's leadership.
I'm with you QJB, I have no idea how people do without coffee. My midafternoon iced coffee is my life savior.
I have a quick question for this group, hopefully I'm not too late and people see this.
I've been having Fairlife protein in my coffee as creamer, and using whole bottles of it (one at a time) in my iced coffee. In short I am switching from premier protein to fairlife, simply because of all the HP/LC desserts I see online. The last 3-4 days I have been suffering from bloating that I had never experienced before. Looking at my diet the only change I have made has been from Premier Protein to Fairlife. Has anybody else experienced bloating with Fairlife? I have checked online and the ingredients of both seem to be the same.
QOTD: I found out a while ago that Trader Joe's takes whatever is popular and makes it themselves putting TJ brand on it. I'm good with that and love everything TJ brand.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Mex cauliflower rice w/ground turkey
- iced coffee w/PP, jello, Fage yogurt
- Epic chicken, handful of pretzel twists
- E: 5.5 miles wog
Happy taco Tue!

I switched from half and half to the fairlife protein in my coffee and not having that issue but it's only been a day or so. can you revert and see if it goes away?

That's the plan for today. I'm just bummed because I have bought a ton of Fairlife.

JB uses 2% Fairlife milk, not the protein. She has no issues with it.
Maybe switch back for a couple of days, then try the Fairlife again. See if the bloating toggles with it.

I've had a couple Costco flats of Fairlife chocolate protein shakes without noticeable effects, for another data point.

I have also not had issues with the fairlife protein. The taste of fairlife is so much better, more like a milk product versus protein drink.

Hello Friends,
My mom was transferred to a rehab facility yesterday, so some progress there. However, her pain level is still extremely high with sitting or walking. Tincture of time to heal is the goal towards home. Good news is that she will get PT and OT almost daily while there. Her blood pressure remains elevated despite medication adjustments and additions. If they would only listen to me (sigh).
Back in the office today getting caught up with paperwork and such. Otherwise, not much to report here.
QOTD: kroger brand water additives (sugar free). Just wish they are more flavors without caffeine.
Accountability: Poor last 3 nights. 1 day was planned, 2nd day ate on plan until drizzled chocolate popcorn at night, yesterday ate on track, then added a second protein frosty which wasn't so bad except added M&M and broken up girl scout cookies (a protein blizzard). I wasn't even hungry last night just wanted to eat. I do notice if I get off track it is easier to stay that way. I need to eat per plan for at least 2 weeks before allowing myself a little extra. Back on track today...
B: triple zero greek yogurt with berried, keto granola, cold brew with half n half
L: asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing
D: berry chicken salad with light poppy seed dressing
S: protein frosty, 6 squares sf chocolate
E: back, rear delts, bicep weights, 60 min yoga
