What's on your Tuesday Menu?

^^God bless those of you who manage life without coffee. I don't trust Tea or Diet Coke to do all this work!^^
Hello Hello Everyone! Hmm, I realized that I have been taking a full sleeping pill instead of a half for awhile now...no wonder I have been feeling so groggy and yucky in the morning lately. I took 1/2 last night and I feel so much more normal this morning.
I wish I had anything remotely interesting to say about my life, but I just don't. Baking & papers are on repeat again. The few home based food entrepreneur conference workshops I popped into were okay yesterday. This afternoon's sessions are the ones I am looking forward to the most, so hopefully they'll be good.
QOTD: What's your favorite knock off, store brand, or cheap version of a product? I recently discovered the Target brand Nespresso pods and they are really good!
Accountability: Literally none. Sum total of what I ate yesterday = protein coffee, babybel cheese, more broccoli casserole, veggie burger, 2 mini cupcakes, and a cookie. Oh and no exercise... Yeah--I'm killing it over here.
B: Fit Frappe Coffee
L: Roast Beef & Butternut Squash
D: Chicken

Good morning and happy Tuesday!!
Today, I just have work, workout with my trainer and nothing else on the agenda, maybe catching up on some reading after I get back from the trainer. So, nothing too exciting. I did get in a rowing session and a weight session yesterday plus had a nice hour long chat with my sister so that was all delightful.
QOTD - This is a tough one, I don't really look at brands so no idea what is an off brand or not.
menu today is
coffee plus half and half x 2
ozery plus PB
ham and scalloped potatoes
yogurt
Have a great day

My mom and I both have over an hour commute home on office days. We've started using that time to connect. It makes her so happy, and boy that time goes so much faster!

When I was on a road a lot, I used to call my sister in Poland and chat with her for hours. Now we mostly text to each other.
BTW: now we talk for free through FB, but before that I found a good international phone lines that cost me just 2-3c per minute. I could talk for hours without worrying about major $$. But is she called me - it would cost her app 30-40c per minute (and that was a lot of money in Poland).

When I was teaching I used to leave the house at 5am for a 1 hour commute, and obviously no one ever wanted a phone call from me then. But I had a good friend who had recently moved to Israel who had Vonage, so I used to talk to her a few times a week. It was so funny that I would talk to her more often than anyone else, but I love using long commutes for phone calls, and she was lonely in the new country, so it worked perfectly!

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Still glad you got great conference tickets! Hope those afternoon sessions are informative!
QOTD- mine is kinda the opposite. Life was always driven by what's cheaper because, well, poor. And then I discovered things like Amy's and Annie's and Rao's to appreciate. I do like Walmart's organic, reduced sodium chicken broth.
So my follow up was yesterday. An additional bit of fun I neglected to mention since I don't like feeling like I'm complaining all the time is that after I took the second oxy pill last week to help sleep, I woke up with my whole upper body on fire anywhere there's loose tissue. It hasn't gone away, and yesterday I learned how badly that factors in to both having my blood pressure taken and blood drawn. It was not my finest hour, at all.
So. I've been told I need to stop losing. Like, yep. What am I eating? Everything I can keep down, and still a good amount of calories. Am I exercising? Lol, no. Long story short, they're checking for B1 deficiency again to try and explain the sudden neuropathy. They're consulting the surgeon again to see if he wants more testing done for the GI issues. I went ahead and got an appointment with my PCP today to keep this rolling since I'm pretty sure they're going to punt it, and the blood test will take 7-10 days.
Here's how much I've been making light of it. I went to the office afterward. Got mobbed by everyone there because while I can fake it if I'm just talking or on video a bit...I can't fake it if you see me. There was a lot of concern, and I truly appreciate that they care. Especially since I'm scheduled to fly to DC Thursday. And yeah, I'm still going to go. But I'm also asking my doctor today about taking a medical leave since it's really that bad right now.
Anyway, hoping to keep the conversation moving with my doctor today and will return to talking about other things.
Accountability- I ate some well-diced hash yesterday. Eating was late since I fasted in case of bloodwork.
Exercise- LOL no, though the dietician still recommends weights. Silly dietician.
Menu - More mango! At least one soup of some kind. Probably yogurt. If I get time I'll make another batch of protein oatmeal.
Cheers everyone, and hope you have an amazing Tuesday!

Thanks, Mel. I know this is the same frustrating space you're in, and wouldn't wi**** on anyone. Answers are slow and the waiting is hard! You've been going through worse than this for far longer, and it sucks. Doctors are surprisingly dismissive without you heavily advocating.
