I was put on this iron patch that doesn't affect my stomach at all. They recommended this one and not patch md because it has 50mg of iron. You stick one on daily and go about your business. No side effects.

QOTD. I have never tweeted either! I also don't follow anybody that tweets, so there is that. I remember when tweeter first came out and I thought it was a stupid idea. Guess I was wrong because it took off. Ha

Good morning all. Nothing on the agenda today but work. It supposed to be 94 today. Ugh. That is as hot as it gets in August. It won't reach that at work or home as we are so close to the coast. I hope this doesn't mean it will get to be a hundred degrees this summer! We are especially dreading hurricane season this year as we are not back and FEMA is still here. My bestie who has lived thru hurricanes and tornados says she would rather have hurricanes than tornados. I think she is right looking at the devastation that happens with just a few minutes of warning with those. Hard to get out of the way.

Menu. No plans other than packing the lunch bag with fruit, cottage cheese and some ham. Work has a hot lunch for 3 bucks with a soda, it is what it is, as there is only one choice. Usually left over from one of the restaurants. Yesterday it was coconut shrimp and gave us a dozen with veggies and some sort of rice. My fave is when they have salmon sliders. Often the lunch is weird as the chef gets way too creative with surplus food. Reminds me of my mother and her casseroles.....

Have a great day everyone!

The creativity that went into those casseroles....for everything to come out beige and tasting the same, lol. It's funny your friend says that about tornados vs hurricanes; I've lived in tornado country longer than I was in hurricane country and I always hated the anticipation of the hurricane, at least tornadoes happen fast. It's funny how perspectives are so different. I do hope for a low-hurricane season for everyone though.

I always figured hurricanes were much worse because there's so much damage over a much wider area - and they can go on for days. Tornadoes are local and quick - although you're right, they come on suddenly without much warning, so you don't have time to evacuate or prep. So...?? Not sure on this one!

I heard Florida was breaking some heat records today. I would probably vote hurricanes too, since there's so much unknown with tornadoes and they're just getting more unpredictable as time goes on.

Good morning all. Isn't she cute as a button?

Do any of you entertain, periodically, just to spruce up your home? We got new shower curtains and bath mats. Sometimes I wonder what our house would look like if we never had company.

We picked up our Easter rib roast yesterday. There's nothing like a 10 pound roast to warm your heart.

QOTD: I also have never tweeted. And never will, because of Musk. I have also never had a manicure or pedicure. And never will. I just can't see how that's enjoyable.

Speaking of Easter, here's one from a while back. If anyone wants to know how peeps are made.

Years ago I used to throw dinner parties mostly because it forced me to clean the house. I haven't had a dinner party in years. It shows.
