Good morning and and Happy Hump Day,
QJB & Grimm- Happy Belated Anniversary! I forgot to include the wishes in yesterday's post.
I have an appt with a therapist today to discuss food related issues.
QOTD - I thought I have a decent mind for numbers. Compared to QJB, my memory for numbers is non existent. Those are some serious skills! I can only recall 4-8 digit numbers when I see them more than once.
B: Hard boiled egg, Tangerine, bacon.
L: PP shake.
D: chicken skewers.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Mind you, my math skills are pretty atrocious, so there really isn't anything to brag about here. I remember strings of numbers but other than being the go-to "what's the wifi password again?" person, there is not a lot of value in my weird skill!
I hope the meeting with the therapist goes well. I tried to find someone earlier this year who could help me focus on food stuff, specifically, but I met two people in a row who told me to "relax" and loosen up my relationship with food and calories and even alcohol. I am sure I can sound little obsessive when I tell people I need to get back to compliance of 800 calories a day if you don't know anything about WLS, but it was actually terrible health advice, so I gave up. Y'all are going to have to keep being my therapists :)

Post op RNY - when I start gaining - I can gain really fast due to excessive insulin response to carbs or proteins. Like really really fast. It has been tested that after RNY some people pancreas sensitivities to carbs and protein can be 10 to 20x of a normal gut person. That's why some people deal with uncontrolled reactive hypoglycemia, or poorly controlled RH.
That also was shown in some episodes of My 600 lbs life - dr Now, that people could gain 20-30 lbs in just one month when they returned to Junk eating habits even during their first year post op.

The food therapist went very well. He asked what I was doing for support and he was a little surprised by all the support I have in place. I stressed that everyone here is my best support for food, bariatric info, and daily accountability. It doesn't hurt that everyone is genuinely nice, support helpful and extremely supportive.
How many #s of Pi can you recite? I can only do 3 digits. My weird skill is being able to logistically memorize locations and activities after the first experience. It's weird to be somewhere once and then tell people how to get there. This is especially true when the directionally challenged person provided the original information. It's definitely not a photographic memory. Marilu Henner is freaky good at remembering every detail of her life.

Good morning from PA. It continues to look like we stole the San Diego sunshine and are taking it along on our trip. Just a beautiful day yesterday. The trip to our campsite was uneventful and setting up was easy. There is a huge playground here and the girls loved getting out and stretching their legs. We ate dinner outside at the picnic table. I was spot on for food until late yesterday evening when I indulged in some of "Bob's backstage sweet and salty popcorn". Apparently it's the Jonas Brothers favorite stage snack. Lol. I won't be buying it again or it will be my new anytime snack.
QJB and Grim, keep that nice weather coming! We are checking into our hotel in Boston on Sunday afternoon. We've got a duck tour lined up for Sunday evening, the Freedom Trail for Monday and we think the zoo for Tuesday. Then the girls get on a plane Tuesday evening and you'll probably find me in the bar after that.
Today is moving onto New York. Exit one. So maybe just barely in New York, but definitely in. We should make it to Mystic about lunch time tomorrow.
Foods today
B. Egg and cheese
L. Turkey deli meat and cheese and tomatoes.
D. Last night as soon as we set up camp I got a pot roast and veggies in the crockpot. It's in the fridge and all I have to do tonight is reheat it in the oven. Yay for easy.
Peace Everybody.

Oh, it is absolutely the most ridiculous waste of a "monument" you could imagine. In addition to bearing no relationship tohistorical fact. But folks come from a long way away to see it.
