Thanks! I'm optimistic about it turning around. I know some things I need to change. I've been eating when I feel tired and that doesn't work lol.

These numbers don't look too bad. You are very very very close to the recommended in almost all of the categories--just on the other side, so there are probably just some simple things you can do to get yourself back in the black :) Did they give you any recommendations for a new iron regiment?

Thanks! I have some iron(ferritin) I started last night. There was a lot of other results that were a bit off. The worst was the good cholesterol and I don't think it'd make me as tired as I am.

Low iron can explain you are being tired. Low iron also affect the thyroid.

Good morning gang. We had a nice warm day yesterday, mid 60s. It will get up to only the low 40s today. Good weather for wrangling a couch outside.

I spent a bunch of time putting in a new internet router and extenders yesterday. The old was out of date, and I'd have to manually switch between nodes moving around the house. But I was astonished at how many things we own that are internet connected. 45, between wired and wireless. There are the usual phones, tablets, laptops, PC, printer. But then there are doorbell and floodlight cameras, garage door opener, light switches, treadmill, rower. Even the washer and dryer. What did we do, in the old days?

QOTD. I have good long term memory, but crappy short term. It's like things need to ferment for a few days before I remember them. Then I can't forget. But they need context -- associations with people or events. I'm terrible with just random strings of numbers.

Mornin' All!

I'm feeling a bit better but glad I'll be done with classes and off the board (and committee) for one of my non-profits within the next few weeks (yes - I resigned as of the end of the current season (which is May)). Should help quite a bit. But then there are still the moms. My MIL told DH she doesn't want him going to Sweden in July because of her health, which does make some sense, but he told me last night that she's livid that I'm still planning to go (by myself - although I'm meeting my cousin over there and will be with her for about half the trip). She says I don't care about her or else I wouldn't go. AARRRGGH. If she had gone into the hospital right before I planned to go - or if she was dying or something - then yes, of course I'd cancel my trip. But now - even though she's not very healthy - she's stable and was released from the hospital about ten days ago. She's not going to get any better because an aneurysm is not going to heal itself, but she could live another 2-3 years (or longer) as long as she's diligent about following the rules. So I'm not supposed to leave town for the next 2-3 years? I kind of wish he hadn't told me that. Plus I was over at the hospital with her for several hours at a pop on some of the days that DH had to go to work. But I guess that doesn't count. My own mother is the same - always complaining about her health to the point that I don't know what's real and what's not. I'll be taking her over to the hospital this morning for a nuclear stress test. She's freaked out about it and it's all she's talked about for days, even though I've reminded her that I've had one of those and it's not that bad. I'll be glad when this test is over. OK - enough venting. Sorry - my negativity is the main reason I've been trying to lay low for awhile...

I'm almost done reading the book Jen recommended, "The Forever Witness". I love it and it's made me think more about going into genetic genealogy. The steps CeCe Moore took to find the murderer are the exact same things I do (minus looking at DNA match lists) to find "lost" people (although I'd be able to do that part, too - it just hasn't come up yet) - but I've searched public databases for birth, death, marriage, etc records, checked obits, checked social media when I've been asked to find some "lost" person (I'm starting to develop a reputation for this among friends and "friends of friends"). I've been in a couple of Facebook groups for adoptees looking for their birth families (and vice versa) for a few years now. Maybe when things slow down here I'll look into becomg a volunteer "search angel" for one of them instead of just reading and following the cases. And I'd be fine with just doing that for the rest of my life - although that seems to be the path that people have taken to get into the law enforcement end of it.

so today I'll be at the hospital all morning while DH has her stress test. I'll take the book along with me and do a few rounds of the hospital hallways to get some exercise. I have class this afternoon as well as a whole list of things I need to do.

QOTD: I used to have a good memory for numbers (as well as other things), but not so much any more. I think it's just age. At least it's easy enough to look things up now thanks to the internet.
