So close. It's the FDR Memorial in DC. The FDR Library is upstate, in Hyde Park. It's well worth the visit. Eleanor's home is close by, and West Point too.

Good morning. It's rainy here, so we shall pack up and leave the rain behind. Honestly, we have to move on anyway, but isn't it nice to be able to just drive away from the weather?
Yesterday was not great for me in the food category. We went the the Gaylord Hotel at the Oprey. Accountability...ok I ate the cheddar biscuit. Fine, I slathered it in butter. Alright, I admit, I ate too much of the cranberry sunflower bread my chicken salad was served on. Yes that was me eating house made chips. What the hell is wrong with me? I was so sick a half hour later I thought I was going to pass out and my Iwatch was alerting me about my very accelerated heart rate. Being sick in public is the worst. It took me a bit but I got back on my feet and was able to go to the Academy of Country Music Museum. And then I made real good choices the rest of the day. (P.S. The Gaylord is gorgeous)
Today I will do better. Driving to my brother's to meet up with my Dad. Lots of laundry this afternoon and a grocery run to stock up for the grands. Excited to see them tomorrow.
QoTD: Oh man, I love so many things and I am so fickle. Right now it's griddled cheese with an egg cooked on top and topped with a cauliflower thin. And my small travel purse that holds just the right amount of things for all these daily expeditions.
food today
B. Leftover piece of chicken and a slice of burrata and paper thin beets from my good pucks for dinner last night
L. Not sure yet
D. Roasted flank steak stuffed with Bousin, fresh spinach and sun dried tomatoes, a couple baby potatoes baked, then smashed then broiled with a little parm on them and asparagus. I'm in charge of making dinner so I know I can watch the fat content!

Oh have been very conscientious about your eating while traveling. It would be hard to stay on track eating out when there are so many interesting choices. I bet making yourself sick will keep you in check for a little while. You are doing so good. Leaving behind terrible weather sounds fantastic.
