Ugh, the stress of getting the classes you need to graduate.

There's way too much of a burden on the learner to navigate the postsecondary education system successfully. I wish we were better at removing barriers for learners. This is a huge soapbox for me, so will stop there. Glad your son has you on his side for support, and that he's in the homestretch there.

the school's tough love philosophy- we are engineers, we can figure it out
Something like that can teach engineers you about making decisions fast, and "just wiggle it". lol.

There is a Facebook page for Colorado School of Mines parents and one of the Dads is an engineer who attended Mines 30 years ago. He always said that he loves the school now, but didn't always love it when he was attending.

I hope your son can get his classes and graduate in May 2024. It sounds like this is something my son would do...procrastinate then expect his emergency to be your emergency due to his lack of planning. Being a parent is hard, especially letting them learn the hard way!

Good morning ~ I'm a crazy personv- I don't like donuts, weird I know. I'll bet your hands are screaming with delight over the electric sheeter - good buy! I hope it works perfectly. Yesterday at work, I didn't get anything I needed done. I had a surprise dental cleaning I forgot about and a 2 hour meeting I thought was cancelled was in fact, on. Today will be a door closed day so I can focus and knock out my end of the month report. This week is flying!
QOTD - Yes! I love that game. I'm pretty good, Rob (imho) not so much. We end up looking them all up, basically to prove I am right, haha.
Accountability - Perfect! I thought about food a lot more yesterday. I'm not hungry, but I'm used to eating impulsively which is hard to overcome. For instance yesterday there was a box of my favorite granola bars in the breakroom. Forgetting my diet, I was about to grab one and stopped myself. I will not mess this up!
