What's on your Thursday Menu?
I'm with you, I don't like donuts.
Great job on catching yourself and not eating the granola. I feel like we eat more out of habit than actual hunger. I grab something every time I go into the pantry, at least now I just look at "my side" and grab a protein forward snack. But still, it's purely habit and nothing to do with hunger.

Habitual eating is really hard to break.

I would not pick donuts as my first pick for a breakfast treat either. Maybe a croissant or a danish or a good southern biscuit and then the donut, lol

Pre surgery I would take grands biscuits and take a glass and make a well in them. Then I would put in cheese egg and salt and pepper and bake them. They were a big hit on bus trips. Too bad biscuits are so carby.

Good sourdough toast or an english muffin would be my pick for a carby breakfast treat!

Early in the pandemic I was making my own English muffins. As big as your head.

We used to hear from JB about your baking adventures, during the pandemic. It was a very fun reading as long as we were on opposite coasts. If we were any closer I would have driven just to get a taste, pandemic be damned.
