What's on your Wednesday Menu?
He prefers deli ham, but I only have that in sandwiches. Iv'e sworn off bread for a while, so he's acting a little put out.

Such a useful ability "be able to translate what people are saying into what they actually mean." Because most of the time people beat around the bushes.

Beat around the bush. Or just plain lie.
People should have subtitles.

Dr. Gregory House "Everybody lies.". Loved the first few seasons of that show before it turned into a drama-farmer.b

I tell people that I can barely speak English (I struggle with pronunciation-a family trait as both my parents do it also) so learning to speak another language would be impossible. I did take French in HS, sucked balls at it. Never could understand how words could be either feminine or masculine. Very confusing. I do like the idea of being able to translate what people are saying into what they actually mean. So often our own interpretation of what is being said is wrong.
Are you done with the AHAW menu plan? Did you enjoy it. I like ham but all meals all week might be a bit much for me. Now that you had AHAW what do you make for Easter Dinner?

Done with AHAW, this time.
It's useful, to me. For one, it assures me I have control over what I eat. Eating without purpose is like driving a car blindfolded. Having control over what goes in my mouth is a good feeling.
Also, it tells me what "hungry" is. I often confused it with cravings, boredom, and many other things. On something like AHAW, if my head says "I'm hungry," I say "Great. Eat all the ham you like." If the answer is "Ummm . . . no thanks," then I'm not actually, truly hungry.
It's a great test, for me. Likely not for anyone else. Though I probably have a ham twin outh there, somewhere.

That is an interesting strategy to determine if you are hungry. I think that might work with any meat. Am I hungry enough to eat a piece of healthy meat versus some yummy carb? I also confuse hunger for boredom, cravings, stress, thirst, etc. I feel your struggle. That is why I pretty much eat the same thing each day (plus I like the options I put together).

When I first joined the board, I remember you saying "would you eat a chicken breast" and that's been one of my judgement tests! Sometimes yes, I would go for the lean protein so I know I should eat, lol.

Good mornin folks. Hope your day is off to a great start!
I feel like warmed over do do. I should be getting my PCP to test for a uti next Tuesday. I'm tired of pain and I'm tired of being tired. My right shoulder is causing me a lot of pain right now on top of everything else. Just so frustrated.
Today I'll help my mom do her taxes. I may do some resin work today. I'll take a few naps I guess. I did get some chainmaille done yesterday. Pic attached at the end. I still have to add a basic weave to the ends to fini**** off.
QOTD: if I had to pick just one it'd be the human language. It'd be nice for the world to understand each other more. Maybe less conflict? Or even just to find some common mentality. BUT I sure would like to talk with Percy!
