What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Good Morning, Beautiful People! We made it to half-way :)
I had a great time yesterday. The movie was cute, the popcorn was delish, and we picked some great containers for the cookie cutters and I am excited to get them all set up. Today will be a packed day for me! I have to prep for another class on Saturday that I haven't barely started doing anything for.
QOTD: Would you rather be able to communicate with every human in every language fluently, or would you rather be able to be able to speak back and forth fluently with animals? I am going to pick animals, because I really want to ask my cat what's going on. He is a talker, anyway, but for the last 2 days he has been in a constant meow. He doesn't seem distressed--more like he has something to tell us. I've tried food, pets, distractions, etc. but he just keeps meowing! I hate to jinx it but he's been quiet so far this morning....
B: Protein Coffee & Egg Bites
L: Thin Mint Lean Bar (omgggggg so good!)
D: Chicken
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
It would be nice to talk with animals, but much nicer to talk with no language barriers between people. One thing I regret is not being fluid in Spanish. I know so many people for whom English is a second language and while we communicate, there are often misunderstandings on both sides.
My cat had been acting like that and i believe it was someone calling and visiting me who just gave her too much attention and she was upset with peace and quiet. I stopped communicating with that person and Gracie has settled back down to a quiet and affectionate cat again. I think the more i tried to distract her, the more hyped up she became and she just wanted to be left alone.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I know, the question of the day is a hard decision. For me it came down to which do I encounter more? Foreign language with people versus animals. Since I have animals I opted for that. However, if I could only have both! that would be perfect.

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Sounds like both a fun and productive day! Mmm, popcorn. Seems to be some hype around the container store. Glad you got what you needed!
QOTD- Animals. Much as I love languages, there are ways to communicate with people when you don't speak theirs.
So the OH conference dates are up. September 15-16th in Costa Mesa! Not much other info yet outside of the hotel. Looks like I'm not engaged that weekend yet, so I blocked it off and checked out some info. I'm excited for this! Woo! Who else will try and go this year? It's the 25 year celebration of OH, too.
Pain is still with me. Not going to the office today since I can't stand up straight. Quite a few meetings today to get through and a few with my team. I hope they forgive me. My entire abdomen was involved by the end of the day and felt hard. Will call the oral surgeon today and see if he cares about this development before extractions Friday. Just another day!
Accountability- Didn't eat or drink enough. Made up for most of the liquids toward the end of the night.
Exercise- Not today.
Menu - Yogurt or protein shakes if I can.
Cheers!

Yay for OH! I need to check my calendar, I thought it would be a different weekend. I hope you feel better - it sounds worse than what I had (maybe?) I don't remember how long it lasted annymore. Is it continuing to get worse?

Yeah! I'm hoping to learn a lot, meet tons of folks, and make connections. So long as nothing happens, I'll be there. Looks like tickets go on sale next week. And we have direct flights to LAX that are $500 cheaper than to John Wayne, so we'll see. It is earlier than I thought but it looks like that will work out right now!
Yes, it's continuing to get worse. I'm almost 7 weeks post surgery and had pretty much returned to normal outside of minor discomfort from weird movement. No pain outside of one twinge when lifting an especially heavy thing last week. Thought I ate some bad cottage cheese on Thursday but it's been getting worse since then. Better in the morning, worse in the evening and centered under the joining of my ribcage. I'm trying to remove all the things that changed in the last week to see if something is contributing. I can handle it but there's definitely something not normal that needs to be addressed. I got a second opinion yesterday and they referred me for an appointment today. They would like me to get a CT scan. A tiny part of me is worried it might be a blockage but I have not been Dr. Googling. Just keeping on!

I think that a CT Scan is an excellent idea. Do you have any areas that may feel like a hernia?

Not that I can tell! Everything is squishy in the middle but nothing feels like a bulge. I've been massaging and stretching quite a lot, but if anything is out of the ordinary, I don't know the difference.
