What the best vitamins to take? I quit taking them years ago (I know) and now my levels are low, iron is very low. It's been 16 years since my surgery so I want to look for the best options.

I take double centrum silver and proferrin iron along with sublingual b12 from celebrate as well as their calcium chews.

the important thing is to look at the ASMBS guidelines and then build your approach ensuring you are meeting those targets.

Proferrin is expensive but the only thing that helps my iron.

We should be getting 200% of the recommended daily allowance of all vitamins and minerals. You don't need barbaric vitamins. A good ADULT, non-gummy vitamin is good. Take 2 daily. Children's vitamins and gummies are missing too many things. You can't go wrong with Centrum adult.

Proferrin is the best form of iron we can take.

You also need 1500 MG of calcium per day. You can only absorb about 500 MG at a dose, so you'll need 3 doses a day. It must be calcium citrate, not calcium carbonate or any of the other formulations.

I need to check that. Every time, autocorrect changes that.

If you had an iPhone, I would thing QJB was messing with your autocorrect settings, lol. Not sure if you can do that on the android. One year one of my nephews changed my sisters and any time she typed "dinner" it replaced it with "the cat"

Nice. I used to enjoy changing someone's mouse settings, periodically switching the left and right-click buttons.

Hey, I'm a newbie but I buy mine from BN Multivitamins | Multivitamins and Nutritional Support - BN Healthy

It's an Australian company but they deliver worldwide, and the exchange rate will probably make it cheaper for Americans.

The chewables have everything included included iron and calcium etc. (Two a day gives you 200% of everything), one of Iron or Calcium is missing from the capsule form (think calcium). I was a little low on D and B12 before surgery so for my first three months, I am having an extra spray of B12 each morning and a drop of D3 in the afternoon. This may stop after first or second bloods this year depending on what's going on.

You must have had great food absorption all these years!
