This is me. If it needs an iron, it won't survive in my house. Haven't regularly used one of those since my ROTC days.

Rocking that Aldi gear! Didn't know they had anything like that. There's an Aldi in my nearest town...will have to stop by sometime soon.

And I do love the varied conversations here. So much easier to keep up with on non-office days.

Your meatloaf sounds great!

G'morning all!

We are supposed to have a few days of reprieve until the next storm hits us on Mon. Yesterday was another day with mostly no power; although we live in an area where most of the power lines are underground, when a tree falls down and hits a power line 2-3 exits away they shut down the whole grid, hence we lose power too. Hopefully the next 2-3 days are calm and we can all recoup.

Guys, especially you donut lovers, you should try this company in SD. Lisa. You can actually buy from them fresh. I had ordered 4 donuts: 2 cinnamon and 2 coffee cake just to try them. They are sugar free and gluten free. They arrived yesterday and I took a tiny bite of each just to see if they were worth the hype. They are very good.

QOTD: European travel, the crusades, ancient cultures, Persian empire.

My meals yesterday (no power so all bars):

  • Coffee
  • Epic chicken & lean bar (Samoan)
  • 2 more lean bars (Thin mint + Samoan)
  • Quest chips + PP w/Iced coffee
  • E: 1 hr elliptical (no way I can wog outside with trees falling all around)

Happy jr Fri-yay!

Sorry younare still without power. Hugs.

The donuts look promising.... but for me, grains are a problem. I love oats. But my body doesn't like them. Ugh.

Yeap. If I'm short with my main cuddling buddy - Dewey - he gets his butt-hurts and sleeps on - beside Keith. Some days - I'm really okay with that. His 20+lbs body is a really effective heater. I'm overheating anyway...plus having 1/2 of the bed just for me - great.

Other times- I really need him to sleep well, even when I overheat.

QOTD: at my age - there are a lot of subjects I can talk and talk and talk. Fiber optics, HR for small business, accounting for small business, then personal- herbs and supplements, natural treatments, diets - natural cooking. And about books, audiobooks and how to find them for free or close to free, cats.

My problem in those areas would be to limit to 30 min. Some topics I have tendency to talk and talk.... so don't ask me unless you either want to know, or have enough strength to tell me when you lost me or you have enough.

Accountability: wine. Ugh. I really need to stop drinking alcohol.

I went to Costco yesterday and found new for me product - Kevin's paleo Thai coconut soup. Absolutely wonderful. Each box had 2 pouches, and each pouch is good for me for 2 meals when I add shredded chicken to that. Nicely flavored, just enough heat- spicy, but not too hot to damage the flavors.

But.... this morning- my gas could kill a small animal. Ugh. I had to walk away from the area, turn on the fan and use fabreeze sprayer... ugh. I hope this was due to combination of soup and wine, not just the soup. The soup has some sugar, but not like the typical Thai soup that is loaded with sugar.

Today I feel ugh... the wine...why do I do that?

Today eats: (IF)

Coffee, tea, water

L: pork, cheese, avocado, pickles (maybe...)

D: Thai soup with chicken (I won't risk eating it at lunch)

S: cheese and either apple or strawberries.
