Aww, look at you guys with your fancy yard waste pickup! I can understand why that's an exclusion out where I live. And why burning is allowed. Oh yeah...need more lighter fluid. Congrats on getting in the yardwork. It's a necessary thing...but still a pain!

I still have fall cleanup to do in the yard since it snowed before I could get to the leaves. Maybe it is time to send the kids out to the yard to work. I can already hear the complaining! Little (big) brats.

If you ask my parents, that's what kids are for! Always fun to work on the leaves once they've started compacting. I've got a quarter mile of leaves pushed into the brushing I'd love to clear out and burn...someday.

When I was very young, we could burn outside. But it's been a long while.

You live in a much more civilized place! Out here there aren't many rules ****ep calling to check. They seem equally annoyed and amused.). So I work on keeping my two neighbors happy and not burning anything down or blowing anything up unintentionally. Not sure yet how I'm going to tackle the dilapidated one-room house on my property, yet. Or the upper five. Maybe when I retire. :)

Your local VFD might be willing to burn it (dilapidated house) down for you as a training exercise. That's a thing that some do.

our yard man has a doughtier in school That's our excuse of not doing it ourselves.
But seriously: I have a bad back and SI joint issues. I do yard work for a day then spend time in pain and money on services to put me back together. Plus allergies. Plus - we have poison oak and ivy on the property.... so.. I'm not doing it. Keith has a long list of "honey do list" plus work, so at our age - we just have people to help.

Those are all solid reasons to support your yard person's daughter's school tuition in my book!
The poison oak around here is on steroids. Thick as my wrists and dug into almost all of my trees. I can only work on it in the winter and some won't come down.
