I am an all or nothing too. We were at an in person WLS support group and we had a lady who was pre surgery and she was getting down on herself because she said she could eat an entire pack of Oreos in 1 day. She was crying about it. All of us looked at her and said what takes you so long? We all did that in 1/2-hour pre surgery. I also used to use the chip bag as an analogy during interviews. I would say I do everything in my life like eating a bag of chips. It is all or nothing.

If they wanted us to eat half, they would have put it in 2 bags, instead of 1.
I know it's a ludicrous statement. But it's also true.

With you on the tracking. It's a massive form of accountability for me. That and weighing every day. Your trip is practically here! You're killing it this year!

I no longer weigh every day (but it did for the first three or so years after surgery), but I've been tracking my food intake since the 90s, I think (I still have a couple of spiral notebooks full of logs - it's kind of fun to look at them sometimes. Although why I kept any of them, I have no idea...)

Good reminders to see where you've come from, maybe? I just hit 300 days on MFP today and am celebrating that much. Woo!

Good morning. We officially have been on the road for four weeks now. And I have lost one pound on this trip. My personal goal is to indulge myself when it's worth it and to maintain my weight. So far, so good.
We had such a lovely day being tourists in Charleston yesterday. Between my "me" walk and taking each boy out for remedial leash boot camp and then visiting the town, I put in nearly 20k steps. You'd think I would have slept well. But Rog was on a snore a thon so I've been up since 3:09 am. Please let the insurance approve the Inspire implant. Puuuleeease! We had lovely food options and a great glass of wine. Grim, I think you'd approve. I ordered the bacon steak app as my dinner. It was just a great thick cut of bacon and prepared pork belly style. You'd hate the side though. Prosciutto and fontina stuffed mushrooms.
Today is all travel again with a quick overnight planned in Augusta.
QoTD: I try to schedule intentional exercise. And push water.
meals today should be
B. Another half of the cornbread and fried egg
L. Leftover braised Drum fish and a little cheddar grits
D. Low carb stuffed bell pepper half , salad
Peace Everybody.

Having sleep apnea, I'm interested in hearing Rog's experience WHEN insurance approves Inspire. The actor in the commercial reminds me of David Cross.
I'm totally jealous of your time in Charleston and your travels. Everything you have described along the journey sounds spectacular. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you. Those stuffed shrooms sounds delicious. Love drum fish and haven't seen it outside the south. Also, Anson Mills grits are the **** I had the best shrimp and grits in Charleston and it still has instant connotation when Charleston is mentioned.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
