NOT MY PHOTO BUT I SAW IT AND HAD TO SHARE!
Good Saturday morning everyone. I?m up super early so I thought I?d get us started.
Yesterday ended up fairly busy but the good news is today should be a do nothing day. Nothing at all planned for the day?except a rest or two. I?ll have some time to chainmaille today so I?m looking forward to that.
QOTD: what was your favorite game to play when you were a child?
My nieces and nephew were talking about Minecraft and I asked them if they had ever played red rover. No! I was shocked as that was my favorite game as a kid. They also do Pokémon. I didn?t play a lot of video games but I enjoyed watching my brother play RPGs esp the final fantasy franchise.

Good Morning! Love the kitty!
I just couldn't sleep a wink last night. I finally quit trying and got up before midnight. I've decorated a dozen cookies and started a paper.
Exciting news, my niece is having a girl! The zoom gender reveal was a ridiculous mess of elderly people who couldn't handle the technology and were muted when they needed to talk and unmuted when they shouldn't have been. Hilarious.
QOTD: I loved all the old school board games like Life, Clue, and Monopoly.
Accountability: whatever...
B: all the cofffffffeeeeeeee with protein powder & egg bites
S: popcorners
L: not gonna lie - leftover pizza
D: chicken taco

Someday maybe I'll learn to be more productive when sleep doesn't happen. Kudos on cookies and papers while I lie here researching rabbit hole topics in bed with the dogs. :) there's always that hope of grabbing another hour. Maybe!
And you put protein powder in your coffee? That sounds...lumpy? Do you do bulletproof coffee at all?
Congrats on the new family member!

If you take protein powder and mix it with room temp water until it's about the consistency of brownie batter, then add your hot coffee and stir stir stir it mixes in beautifully. My favorite is Fit Frappe Mocha or Chai flavors.

Ahh, that makes sense! All my stuff is unflavored. While great for oatmeal or ricotta bake...maybe not so much for coffee. Blame 3am brain. :) Good way to get in early protein!

I used to put whey protein in my coffee. I made a small volume high protein shake, then add that to my coffee instead of a creamer.
Now I use collagen protein. Most collagen are not a complete protein source, but the one I use is (more or less). But even if not a complete protein- collagen is in so many parts of our body - skin, joints, hair, nails, bones, linings of out digestive system. I try to get app 20-30 gr of collagen protein during the day. It actually helps with the pouch and small intestine lining. It dissolves in hot or cold. Most good unflavored collagen protein are tasteless and odorless.

Thanks for sharing! I got some collagen peptides to help supplement a while back. They are not a complete protein but I was hoping they'd start helping with the heavy shedding. Unfortunately, it must not be on the 'good' list since it taste reminiscent of bone broth, which is super hard for me to drink since my two week post-surgical period. Would you share the brand you use? I'd gotten Orgain.

I tried Orgain and I just couldn't stand it.
The best that I know and use daily is for me, BioTrust. They are bit pricy, but it's a combination of collagen from 4 different sources, plus they add fermented l-tryptophan to make a complete aminos profile. I buy the unflavored when it's on sale, and I often buy 6 or 12 for best deal. They have 5 types of collagen (I, II, III, V and X) from: bovine, chicken, fish and egg membranes.
The other rather nice but bovine only, is the Vital protein collagen (Costco- often on sale good source) - best price deal
I use a few more brands that are pretty good. I sometimes see one of the brands I like on Amazon and when on a significant sale - I grab it.
The BioTrust are in 8 oz bags, very easy to grab and take with me on a trip.

Thank you for sharing this - I'll have to take a look. Wouldn't mind some collagen protein back in my daily that doesn't make me nauseous.
