G'morning all!

QJB - keep us updated on the mattress. I've been in the market for a new mattress but keep postponing because I'm worried I'll end up with a worse situation than I'm already in. It's such a difficult decision and you won't know until you buy it and try it for a while.

Fri-yay at last. I have so many reasons to be super excited:

  1. DH left early this morning for Tahoe, so I have the house to myself for the whole weekend. Not that I don't want him around but once in a while it's good to be on my own.
  2. Fun 10K She-is-beautiful race tomorrow. People dress up in pink tutus or all kinds of costumes for this race. It's a very friendly crowd and one of my favorite races, because the majority of runners are women and moms with their strollers.
  3. Get together with friends on Sun to go to a recently opened up seafood restaurant. This is my "boy moms" group and they are a hoot.

QOTD: Italian & Persian.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Omelette with cream cheese and hot sauce filling. Sooooo good!
  • Epic chicken, iced coffee w/PP
  • Pulled pork with cauliflower thins
  • E: 4.5 miles wog

Happy Fri-yay!

Love love the cookies.

BTW- if you start having pressure points pain from some firm bed- get a 2" foam egg-crate-like mattress pad. We got that and no longer have hip or arm pressure points pain.

QOTD: as far as I know - I'm 100% polish.

Yesterday was a migraine day, so it was a day of fasting and staying in bed mos5 of the day. Ugh. I got better as the day went and I was able to go to Costco to get my meds and some food. Bough too much, but mostly for Keith and some food for my cleaning crew that's coming tomorrow to clean the house. It needs it.

It's raining today, so my headache should go away as the day progress.

I'm making corned beef today in a slow cooker, so this is going to be dinner if my body decides I can eat. If not, I'll have it tomorrow. I don't cook cabbage because I can't eat it (my gut hates it, while I really like it), and Keith doesn't complain we don't get that. I probably would blister brussel sprouts for him, and have sauté spinach in addition for me and him. Easy food.

Today:

Pain meds... coffee and tea and water...electrolytes

L: tea

D: TBD depends how my head, my gut and my body is today. Sometimes the idea of eating causes or increases nausea. I learned long time ago not to ignore that.

Exercise: I like thevtype of squads you like... ?

QJB-Those cookies! Love, love, love the flowers.

Yay for Friday. I wanted to work from home but have a short monthly check-in meeting with the boss. I will try to leave early to get my weight workout in before my usual yoga. Not a whole lot planned for the weekend. I do have a facial on Sunday and also need a Pedi and fingernail fill. Maybe get those done tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Monday I am going to the monthly Regal Cinema Mystery Movie with a friend. For $5 ticket you can see a new release movie but you don't know what it will be until you get there. They also offer discounts on a small popcorn and drink for $7. Thats a pretty good deal.

So far, the liver workout is generally negative but still pending the autoimmune lab results. However, the PA did recommend Hepatitis A and B vaccinations since I do not have immunity to those. I have those scheduled for Monday. It is funny though since early in my nursing career I was vaccinated against Hep B by employee health. But it has been 30 years. I have the liver ultrasound on Tuesday.

I wanted to share a free class on Taming Emotional Eating that I signed up for. It is a 5-day class, the classes look to be 30 minutes in length. Here is the link if you are interested in checking it out.

I had elevated liver enzymes too, after RNY, but not before. They did all kind of work up's. Found nothing, however I do have an autoimmune disease that attacks internal organs along with joints, muscles and CNS. I had no symptoms other than abnormal blood work, which in the end was chalked up to be autoimmune! What a waste of time and money that was, although reassuring that nothing was found.
