What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Chicago baseball is always a good time. If you time it right, you can catch a Cubs game during the day and a Sox game at night by jumping on the Red Line. The stadiums are less than a block from the train. Both teams play on the same day a couple times a year, iirc. Yes, Sox Park's neighborhood is dicey. I wouldn't walk around after dark. Wrigleyville is very welcoming and definitely has a neighborhood feel.

Never mind the question about the steak, I just looked at the website. Looks terrific and a great experience. Have a great meal with your family.

Good Morning! Glad you were able to reschedule the class so you can stay safe and warm today. I keep forgetting I need to grab the taco kit from Costco, I go there to buy my gas but rarely go in the store. I hope you survive the angry kitties- we have one that is overweight and has asthma so we had to start restricting her intake and the other isn't overweight in the slightest so that's been an adjustment.
QOTD: I don't think I am, I try to not google symptoms since results can be alarming. I am definitely a germaphobe though.

Mornin' All!
my MIL had swelling in her legs yesterday - then loss of taste. DH was thinking COVID, I was thinking congestive heart failure (CHF) (obviously we were focused on different symptoms). She went to urgent care yesterday afternoon. This morning she called him from the hospital - urgent care had sent her over there for more testing and she was admitted. Not sure what's up yet (more tests this morning), but I wish either she'd kept him more updated or that he'd kept on top of this. He said he emailed her a few times yesterday, but if she was at the hospital, she wouldn't have gotten his messages. AARGH. She told him her lungs were full of fluid, which they drained yesterday. So that's most indicative of pneumonia or CHF. Her mother had CHF (it can run in families) and she has very high, unmanaged stress (which can also be a factor), so I'm thinking it's most likely that, but we'll see. I'm not a medical professional, so... She's so frail and has had so many health issues that I worry about her whenever anything like this happens.
today I'm planning to go to water aerobics or Aqua Zumba (probably the latter, even though it's on the other side of town), and I'll go feed MIL's cat afterward. Otherwise, probably making protein muffins since I'm out of them. Not much else other than getting back on track for stuff I've let slide while I've been totally riveted by the podcast QJB recommended the other day ("Bear Brook" - season 1. Fascinating!). I discovered that a friend of mine was the executive producer, which made it even more interesting!
QOTD: no - but then I'm one of those people who never gets sick. Well, other than a cold most years and the flu or norovirus maybe once every 10 years.
B: skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: the hummus sandwich that i keep putting on here that I still haven't eaten because I've been distracted by something else in the fridge...
AS: Ratio yogurt (?)
D: I"m thinking half an Impossible burger on 1/2 a bun with tomato slices
have a great day, everyone!

I hope your MIL gets sorted out and stable today and your DH gets clarity on what's up with her. Draining the lungs does not sound like anything I want ever.
