Mornin' All!
it's supposed to snow again this evening. Crap. I am so sick of this. Friends from the south are starting to post photos of their flowering trees on FB - and we're stuck with a bunch of crappy snow. March is so annoying. I expect snow and cold in January, but I'm sick of it by March. It could be another month or six weeks before we're completely out of this nonsense. Boo!
we're going to part 2 of the Hindu wedding celebration tonight from 5:00-midnight (although we'll probably leave around 10:00). We have a few errands to run before that, but that's pretty much it for the day. I'm currently absorbed in the podcast Julia recommended to me yesterday (small world - I discovered a friend of mine was the executive producer!), but I really need to work on some other things today, too - like a couple of things for two of the organizations I'm active in, plus the never-ending reading for my classes. Luckily, this week is spring break for both campuses, so I *should* be able to get caught up...
QOTD: I'm not sure how to put this into the succinct wording of a typical warning statement, but I can come across as a real extrovert upon first meeting, but I naturally tend toward introversion. I especially have trouble if I'm with another introvert. So I can be very chatty and social when I first meet someone at social gathering (or whatever), but if we have a follow-up meeting (especially if it's one-on-one) over coffee or something, and particularly if they're introverted as well, conversation can sometimes be difficult - and (for me at least) uncomfortable. And I'm sure it is for the other person as well.
B: I'm not hungry at all at the moment, so I'll probably have my protein shake now. Already had coffee with half & half
AS: skyr with kiwi
L: hummus sandwich with cucumber and tomato slices
MS: something filling so I don't overeat at the reception tonight. Maybe a creme brulee L&F yogurt with a couple teaspoons of tahini mixed in (?)
D: I have no idea what they're having tonight at the reception - other than it's not Indian food :-(
ex: I need to, but I can't for another couple of days. My doctor REALLY blasted that plantars wart yesterday, hoping the thing will go away once and for all (it was either the fourth or fifth treatment). So I'm hobbling around on that foot. May be OK by Monday...I hope!

Enjoy the wedding part 2!
I live in a place that used to say don't plant before Mother's Day but the last 4-5 years it's been more like don't plant before Memorial Day so can relate to the wide variety of when the seasons really change. March is when we get most of our moisture for the year though and spring snows prevent summer fires is what I tell myself!

I keep tripping over the name on your post, Eli Barraza. I know a guy named Elia Bizzarri, and I keep thinking, "Hey, PP knows him too!"

Good Evening. This is a late post.
Jen- when you said you went to bed at 10pm and woke at 12:30. Is that am or pm? If am, wow I would be done for the day early. If pm, I hope you enjoyed the extra sleep. I have been waking early lately. Last week I saw 3:45 am two days in a row. Slept in to 5 this morning. I do like the early morning wake up but 3:45 is a bit early.
when I did my weekly weighin my weight was up! WTF! 134.6 lbs that is my "scream and screech" weight I need to be very intentional this week with eating could it be fluid retention? Maybe but until I know otherwise I am focused on my diet and exercise
went for my 90 minute hot yoga this morning and sweated buckets. I am always working on replacing my fluids from the hot yoga sessions. Otherwise, DS and I did a quick Costco run and a ew items from the grocery store. My mini Goldendoodle has been collecting snow clumps or mud on his fur since he has gotten a bit long in the hair. He does need a trim but I have hesitated because of the cold weather. He gets very matted when it gets long so when they shave him he is practically bald. I decided to do some scissor trimming on his belly and paws to shorten that hair. Luckily I didn't make him look weird! I am hoping that reduces the amount of snow or mud he drags into the house until I can get him trimmed. No real plans for Sunday except meal prep for the week. It usually takes about 2-3 hours to prepare 14 salads for the week with all the chopping. I actually don't mind it for the most part. I like to keep busy so I do fixate on eating or get bored.
QOTD: I laugh when people fall down. Don't know why, it is an automatic even though I know I should make sure they didn't get hurt. I try to make sure they are alright before I laugh at them. I even laugh at myself if I fall.
Accountability: added half n half for an extra iced coffee yesterday.
B: triple zero Greek yogurt with berries and keto granola, cold brew with half n half
L: Asian chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing
S: iced coffee blended with half n half
D: berry salad with chicken light poppy seed dressing
S: protein frosty, 6 squares sf chocolate
E: 90 min hot yoga

Could definitely be fluid retention. Or is it possible you've been building muscle? You're pretty darned consistent with diet and exercise, so hopefully not another factor!

Jen
just looking at the list for this day (yesterday), store-bought salad dressings are full of sodium. Not sure about your keto granola, but depending on the brand, that could be, too. The rest of your line-up should be OK. But yes - if I had salad dressing twice in a day, I'd definitely be dealing with some water weight the next morning. BUT...it's jus****er. Should be gone in a day or two.
I have been using the same store bought salad dressings for months n. However I do add soy sauce to my Asian salad also. A couple of times maybe too heavy of a hand. So maybe. I will find out next Saturday since I only weigh weekly at this point.
I finally started Refuse to Regain. I like it so far.
