there are a handful of items that Thai restaurants often have that are more bariatric-friendly. Like chicken satay or that salad made with raw green papaya. Or one place we go to has curry that's over steamed broccoli instead of rice. And one of the other places we like has a salad with chicken chunks and a curry dressing (although that's probably more "inspired by Thai flavors" rather than authentic, although it's good and "works" for me!)

I'll probably have the satay. The restaurant my mom and aunt love don't have a wide spread of options. The only stuff I'd really like to try is hot that's without rice or has optional rice.

They don't want to try any other place.

Mel,

My go to entree at Thai food is the Green Papaya salad and chicken satay. I hope you have a wonderful day out and about, despite being exhausted.

I'm glad you mentioned green papaya salad - I mistakenly put green "mango" in my reply to the post. My brain wasn't fully turned on earlier when I wrote that! Just "fixed" it!

Hello all

Happy Friday and happy weekend!

QOTD: few Aussie mysteries that have always fascinated me, one being before I was born we had a Prime Minister go for a beach swim and was never found. I'd also love the full story on JFK's assassination, i am not a conspiracy theorist at all but I think I've always wanted the JFK one to run deep for whatever reason haha

Food: meal replacement shake, protein water, rogu beef, ground Turkey and a lot of liquid

Have a great day and weekend all!

Regarding JFK mystery have you read Stephen King's 11/22/63? Very interesting.
