What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Maddymoe-what a mature decision your son has made. Our emotional connections can really impact other life decisions. I am impressed with your son.

Not at all. We are happy for him, but she lives kind of far so we worry about him driving.

So nice knowing we can eat more over time, feels so weird early on and at times, pure deprivation lol (Although I did sign up for it haha)
My friend's son (20) accidentally messaged his family What's App some TMI on who he lost his virginity to and when (instead of, I presume, a friend or whatever group). It wasn't graphic but he removed it pretty quickly but they all saw it and now they are all pretending it never happened lol I love family dynamics Hahanah

Somehow I feel the need to point out that Pi day is next week, even just to remind myself. That's become a thing in life over the past decade and pie keeps appearing on said day. Hmm.

Someday if the political situation is ever better there, I would love to take the two of you to visit the shop of one of my in-laws in Venezuela. He does custom woodworking for the extremely wealthy people there. His shop looks like a factory in the US. It is a building that is hundreds of feet long and three stories high. Each story is about 20 feet high.
The only way between floors is a metal ladder and you just grab on to the sides and climb up. I feel like a monkey and amazed that I can do it. But I don't look down. Each floor on first and second level has many aisles. Each aisle is lined with different types of saws and woodworking machines. He has supplies of every type of wood imaginable. Including woods that are illegally obtained from the rainforests and forbidden to be used due to their being rare and protected.
Rich people want things that are unique, and they are willing to pay to own it.
The homes that he builds cabinets for have every room custom designed. The cabinets are all handmade and beautifully stained and finished. There are things like cabinets under stairs and in garages that are far more beautiful than some kitchens in the homes of ordinary people. The woods glow with special polishes and varnishes. There is truly a place for everything.
The third floor is his living quarters. He has created a penthouse mansion on top of his factory. It is a huge apartment with every luxury imaginable. He is in his early 60's now and built this and worked on it since he was in his 20's. He has never married and lives alone, although he does have children that he supports.
I know Grim would love to see all of his tools and supplies of wood.

I sure would!
