What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Thank you! It is just crazy, I have had this goal for 3+ years. I think I am going to adjust my goal once I hit 205!
I am very proud of myself as I have been 100% accountable since January1.

We saw maybe three diners, and all were out if business. But we covered a lot of miles, and it looks like that's all there ever were. I think it's just always been a lack of disposable income.
We're more used to coastal Maine, and there are a lot more options there.

Good morning, everybody!
It's still pretty cold here in Chicagoland. Our grass is greener, but not growing yet. I ended up just going to The Palm for steak and green beans yesterday. Mainly because without my readers I had no idea what was in the salad dressing at the store next to our office. Compliant but probably not a viable twice a week strategy.
I remember struggling to eat a third shrimp when I was about two months out of surgery, but yesterday, I put away an 8 ounce steak with no problem.
My youngest is coming home for Spring Break on Saturday. His semester seems to be going really fast - he is done for the year on April 28th.
When we spoke to my older son Sunday, he was telling us about his robot project. I had no idea what he was talking about. Anduinos and Raspberry Pi's and coding languages that I had never heard of. He is staying at school for his break, which is either because of (1) a group project, or 2) his girlfriend. I felt somewhat accomplished when I refrained from a Homer Simpsonesque "HMMM, Pies."
Its going to be a Lime LaCroix type of Happy Hour tonight. Marilyn will go Coconut. Maybe some olives, melon and proscuitto and almonds to go with it.
QOTD: My Mom's side is almost all diabetic, although they manage their weight well. One of my Aunt's is Type 1, which 80 years ago used to be a death sentence. Both of my sister's struggle with their weight, although at lower numbers than me.
Breakfast: bacon and Eggs
Lunch: Chicken salad
Dinner: hamburger patty and sweet potato
Have a great day, all!

No, its a fairly new development. He sent a text one week that was "I will still call you guys this weekend, but can I talk to Dad tomorrow?" When I called him he let me know that he was going on a date and not to panic if I saw the charges on his credit card. So then I had to tell Marilyn.

Jim,
My son is very private about his dating life. At the current moment, he does not want a girlfriend. He feels that he is making life changing decisions right now with school and career paths. He doesn't want a girl to sway his decision either way. I think it's sweet that he called you to tell you.
They know that I keep track of where they are by what shows up on my Amex. The good side of being Bank of Dad, I guess.
