What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Oh man, I used to love spicy foods. I love it so hot that it gets my endorphines going. My stomach does not like spicy anymore. F my stomach.

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Well that sounds like a fun trip! Guess people in Maine all cook at home? Glad you got out.
QOTD- Seems to be more large people than not. Maybe 75% obese on my mother's side. At least 50/50 on my father's side.
Yesterday in lieu of machine exercise I worked in the yard for a couple of hours doing cleanup until the light came on. We have more rain coming through and it's harder when wet, so wanted to take a chance and get more done. My back and legs are sore but my incisions aren't complaining. I'll take it!
Today I get my bracket fixed, though not so keen on that since if she places it the same, I'm back to not being able to chew. I mean, yogurt is good for you, right? Will start the work day listening to webinars in the car on the way to the office, so that's good. Heavy meetings the next few days and just busy in general.
Accountability- One slice of keto toast last night while I was sautéing mushrooms.
Exercise - Laps at the office.
Menu - red beans and proteins, protein pasta and sausage, ratio yogurt, blueberries, a mandarin orange, mushrooms, might get smoked salmon in the office this morning.
Have a great day, everyone!

Yay, it's Wednesday - the week is speeding by which happens when it's so busy; March will go by in a blink for the same reason.
Sounds like a great adventure day, QJB. Mid week adventures are fun!
QOTD - Mixed bag across all the family
My trainer had to reschedule yesterday so hopefully I am seeing her this evening; I did move my elliptical session from today to yesterday just so I got in my dual workouts and I'll jump on the rower sometime this morning too for my two Wednesday workouts. If she has to reschedule again, I'll do my cardio pilates after work. My only meetings today are 1:1s which I enjoy so it will be a good meeting day and also give me some time to get things done.
I was happy that this morning's Mandalorian is a decent length, last week was too short.
Today's menu is
coffee plus half and half X2
skyr
Korean fire chicken (maybe X 2)
amylu's chicken sausage, if I don't have the Korean fire chicken again
Have a great day everyone - soon the weekend will be in sight!

Jen,
Is the Korean fire chicken something that you make, or is it something you buy? It sounds delicious.

I make it and it is delicious and a super easy weeknight meal. I'll give you the original recipe from the Cookish cookbook.
Ingredients
1/3 to 1/2 cup gochujang sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/4 soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
3lbs boneless skinless thighs, cut into pieces (I use chicken breast because I like it more than thighs)
in 12 inch broiler safe skillet, whisk gochujang/vinegar/soy/sesame oil til combined; add chicken pieces, let marinate for 15 minutes (I actually do 15 minutes, stir, and then another 15 minutes). Heat the broiler to hi, and put the skillet in an out 6 inches from the broiler and coo****il done (30 minutes usually, with a stir at 15 minutes). Carefully transfer skillet to stove top and simmer until the sauce is thick (I usually skip that step because it smells so good I want to eat it right away). I found a receipe online that topped with mozarella cheese so now I add that too at the end.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing the recipe! Made me realize I haven't used gochujang since making bibimbap some time ago.

Morning everybody. Sorry I missed you yesterday, but there was lots of driving. I think we covered close to 500 miles. And not a diner in the state. But man, pot shops everywhere, in very rural areas. Honest to God, I think there was a pot store for every 100 people. Apparently they do not get hungry after.
QOTD: My dad's side of the family was large. If his sisters had been boys, they'd have made a heck of a defensive line. I had one sib of three that was obese. She also had all of the other addictions. I was more focused, and wanted to really nail the overeating thing before trying something else.

Good morning JB and Menu Friends. Sounds like a great day yesterday! One cant help but wonder if Covid is the reason for a lack of Diners? Restaurants really struggled in our area, especially in the beginning.
Busy day at work yesterday, quiet evening and ended with a nice soak in the Hot Tub. Really love the Hot Tub in the winter. Can be a shock to the body going to and from!
QOTD - Only me, inherited my mothers side of the genepool, though she does has never been overweight. My boys have put on weight since they have graduated from HS.
