or maybe it was near the border, and recreational pot isn't legal in New Hampshire? That could be another potential explanation. Recreational pot is legal in Illinois, but not in Wisconsin. I bet every Illinois border town has one...
Just checked. Recreational marijuana is legal in Maine and Vermont - but not in New Hampshire. So that could be the reason, too...
I have family photos from the 1800's and early 1900s. They lived on farms in Ireland and when a photographer came to town they would dress up and have a picture taken. One side was tall and slim, the other side short and heavy. Descendants are pretty evenly split the same way. A lot is genetic and who you take after.

Yep. I remember during my last round of major weight loss the doctor told me I was built like a farm girl and that I'd not make it under 170 because of how big my frame is. I chose to take that as a compliment. I know plenty of women who are naturally super willowy and slender. The women in my family...not so much.
There really is a ton of variety in humanity and it's part of what makes beauty standards so dangerous. I also remember reading somewhere that if Barbie was real she'd have to be over seven feet tall for her plastique physique to work out.
