we had either BBQ or Mexican food for practically every meal when we were in Austin. Loved it! We even found a place once that had a Mexican breakfast buffet - I went wild! (this was pre-surgery, of course...)

I'm impressed at your ability to maintain exercise routines and make food while traveling! Congrats. And kudos on managing during BBQ times through creative sitting.

I've been like that at a restaurant. Sometimes right after I order I am like "where the hell is the food!" Means it has been too long since I ate something... Love the restraint that you showed. Good job!

Mornin' All!

the only thing I have on the agenda today is class from 2:30-3:45, but I still have a lot of reading to do to get caught up. And a film to watch for Friday. And a book to read for Monday. It's a beautiful day out and it'll be in the mid-40s, so I'll go for a walk sometime today, too. I'll probably just leave for class early and get in at least a half hour of walking before the class starts.

QOTD: well, other than the Aldi planner I mentioned in response to Jim's post (which didn't even occur to me to list here until I saw Jim's comment about planners), it would be those packing cubes (square or rectangular nylon or canvas bags that zip - and with "windows" so you can see what's inside) that you use to keep all your crap separate in your suitcase. They come in all different sizes so you can have one for underwear, another for toiletries, another for pants, another for snacks, etc. They're particularly useful for longer trips (like a couple of weeks) when you're using a big checked bag. Saves lots of time since you don't have to search through your bag every time you need to find something.

B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: cottage cheese, kiwi

AS: I'll take a protein bar to class since it falls within my normal "snack time"

D: spinach/mushroom kugel

have a gret day, everyone!

I have bought packing cubes as a gift for others but never for me. Mainly because stopped traveling during pandemic. Also sold my suitcases at garage sale when I moved last summer. Now I get to buy new suitcases and of course the packing cubes. Thanks for the reminder. My first vacation is a trip through the Rockies in a glass topped train planned for May and going with a good friend that I went to first grade and all through school with.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Enjoy your travels QJB and Grim.

I was busy yesterday and never got back to finish reading. To Jim, I have no idea how long till I feel relief, but I am 3 days in, and I feel no difference. And to CH (sorry I am not Jim It takes me awhile to remember names) I wish I was on the tail end of the burnt garlic beef shanks, but I probably have a good 5 meals left. It is not terrible, and I am not one to throw away food. Ron won't eat it, so I am stuck with it for at least till Friday.

I was so anxious yesterday about my weight being up so high and had other crap on my mind. The weather was great, so I went for a run last evening. Remember I went out one day last week, I was so disappointed because I was doing a 13:11 mile. Yesterdays was 12:32 so I am getting faster. As long as it is not raining, I am going to run again tonight. It should be in the high 40°'s and 48° is my ultimate temp I like to run in.

QOTD: I would say my tongue scrapper. Since surgery I use it every, morning. It seems that the calcium chews really get stuck in my tongue and I scrap it before I brush my teeth.

Accountability: 2 handfuls of Trail mix.

TSS: 5 years 2 month 24 days 163.2 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Twix Coffee Mate

MS: L&F creme brulee Greek yogurt. and berries.

CB: Coffee with SF Twix Coffee Mate

L: flank steak, brussels sprouts, snack selects

D: Burnt Garlicky Braised Beef Shanks

Exercise: Something after work either 3 mile run or treadmill

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use Miralax and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings.

Chrissy

Maddiemoe is an exception. I think I just like saying Maddiemoe too much to switch.

I am glad you were able to run off some stress yesterday - I think your after work jog tied my Reindeer Run time. No doubt you will be running circles around me by April.
