Good morning. In Fort Stockton, Tx today. Again a little stop over town. We did find a fun dog park to take the boys to. I'm sorry (not sorry) but my Texas theme is to do what I need to do while spending as little money as possible. Texas and I can't agree on some important hot topics and that's how I roll. Literally and figuratively. I'm saving my frivolous dollars for other locations.
I did great on food and exercise yesterday and even better on getting water in. I've been doing terribly on drinking water.
Today's trip is about four hours and we'll end up in Fredericksburg. Our camping spot is free if we pop into their brew pub for a beer. Roger will have earned that with the long drive. 4 hours driving the rig with tow is a lot. No matter how fun those rigs look, it's loud and shaky and wobbly. Wears ya down for sure.
QoTD: Dog parks near me. A very common refrain these days. It's really nice to let the boys have a place to run free and stretch their legs out.
Menu
B. Ham and cheese frittata I cooked up last night for ease this morning
L. We will pull into a rest area and eat left overs. Piece of cheese and some pepperonis for me
D. TBD. Depends on what the brew pub offers. Otherwise I have plenty of options in the freezer.
Peace Everybody.

I hope you are not planning to pass through FL, because nowadays it def doesn't deserve any money spent there.

I'm curious...how much does it cost in gas with a rig like that towing? Do you have an average spend per day in gas?

We carry 80 gallons of fuel and get 6-8 miles a gallon. Gas is averaging about $3.00 a gallon. We plan on putting in about 9000 miles this trip. So yeah, gas is by far our biggest budget item. But if we take just the car when we are parked for a few days, my car gets 45 miles per gallon. So that really helps.
