G'morning all!

Aaaw, QJB, jealous of your snow day.

We have have had non stop rain since Sun. Yesterday I filmed it and sent it to the kids, it was coming down in sheets, almost like in the tropics. Luna is not very happy, hasn't had a walk since Sun morning. Today I need to brave the outdoors only for a PT appt. Hoping that we don't lose power we have everything we need and no need to go out.

QOTD: I use cash only for my eyebrow threading lady. My preference is card or venmo/zelle, but the hair dresser and the facial ladies prefer checks. During Covid they moved on to venmo which was great but afterwards they switched back to check. Other than these three instances I'm a cash/check free gal and love it. My mom gets so nervous, when I go home, because I don't carry cash. She always asks what if something happens? Mom I have my cc on me, I can pay with that. What if they don't take it? Who wouldn't take a cc? I guess old habits die, she prefers cash in her wallet.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Costco chicken skewers
  • Jello, hot cocoa (2)
  • Veggie soup and cheese crackers
  • E: cardio + weight

Happy Taco Tue!

I feel like he has added to my workouts! I haven't seen any improvements yet but he gives me a ton of stretching movements.

We also got a lot of snow, it started last night. The kids got a late start for school due to the conditions on the streets. I decided to work from home since the news was reporting double the commute time. I did however brave the snow to go to Planet Fitness for weight training then yoga . Some things are worth braving the weather and others are not ;-). Today was the final day of the 30 workouts in 30-days challenge. I am happy to say that I did complete all 30 workouts! Yay! A free month of yoga has been earned.

I have decided to cancel my trip this weekend due to the winter weather conditions. I am just not interested in driving 300 miles in potential ice/snow covered roads. I will find something else to do this weekend. DD might go to the horse ranch for the weekend so I might be alone. I am ok with that. I am thinking about going to a movie. Maybe a Man Called Ove. It will be depend if it is still showing.

QOTD: I use a debit card mostly, Venmo app for certain payments. I like to have cash in my pocket (which is actually kinda rare) but ironically if I do have cash, I will tend to use the debit card instead, so I have money in my pocket.

Accountability: I did great all day yesterday then in the evening I just wanted to eat something so added a 100 cal bag of popcorn, topped off with Chik Boom Pop, then a couple of handfuls of chocolate peanut butter drizzled popcorn (the last was soooo yummy). Bad girl!

Meals are same as yesterday minus all the popcorn add ons.

E: Back, rear delts, biceps weights (done)

60 minutes yoga (done)

Being widowed and having to pay handymen for many tasks, I have to use cash and really don't like it. I know they don't take checks because they are not paying their taxes and some of them refuse to work for me when they find out what I do. I do not turn anyone in. It makes me mad when I don't have enough cash. Today I paid $3.75 fees to withdraw $100 because I needed to pay someone to do odd jobs. My hairstylist only takes cash and I know the nail lady prefers it. I keep hoping they just completely replace cash with computer systems.
