What's on your Tuesday Menu?
on 2/28/23 1:38 am
Morning everyone! Did you survive Monday? I killed it! I mustered up all of my adrenaline and finished writing two finals papers. Whoo!
Today is a snowy day for us. Not terrible--maybe 6ish inches total but its an all day event, so we are inside for the day. Since I got ahead on school work yesterday, I might chill out and watch some movies and call it a real snow day :P
QOTD: Do you use cash for purchases? I swear I have barely touched cash since 2017. I use an app to buy gas and coffee and a credit card for everything else. There have been a few times when people hand me cash for something at a cookie class and I think, well that's going to be sitting in my wallet until I die...
Accountability: Weird day. I was on a roll with papers and forgot to eat all day except for my protein coffee. We ended up running an errand last night and we went to a breakfast diner for dinner. I got an omelette (a real one--not the chocolate cake version, I swear!). It came with an English muffin and fully admit to devouring that yummy buttery thing. I have a lot of the leftover omelette to have today.
B: protein coffee
L: Taco Tuesday! Chicken tacos :)
D: leftover omelette

Morning everyone. Snow today, so I'm staying home.
Do they have French toast alerts where you are? Whenever we have a snowstorm coming, people rush to the grocery stores and clean them out of bread, milk, and eggs. Every single storm. They started calling it the French toast alert a ways back.
QOTD: I don't use cash very often. There are a few local places that are cash only, but not many. There's one place I order from online that doesn't take digital payment. You call with your order, they ship it to you, and then you mail them a check. It's weird, in the 21st century.

When I started in our Latin America team, people were still mailing us purchase orders. It wasn't that long ago!

I'm interested to hear your interpretation of "It wasn't that long ago." I think of 1993 as recent. But . . . is it?

Hahah...like when you hear 20 years ago and are shocked to realize that's not the 80s.
this was 2010

That's a lot of trust, nowadays, that they ship it to you and wait for you to send them the check.

The first time I ordered, I thought I must be missing something. I asked them to repeat it, twice. I think they thought I was a little slow.
