Good morning everyone and happy Monday! I took today off to recover from my trip and glad I did; I came home with some kind of cold (or what I fully believe are frostbit lungs which may not be a thing but that I have) and ended up sleeping a bit part of yesterday. Today may be more of the same.
Great job on the 92! You will rock the finals and then enjoy a break and a lighter class load, that will be lovely for this next cycle!
QOTD - I will sing (badly) anywhere, for anyone, lol.
Finland is amazing; we had northern lights all three nights in Lapland, which is rare...now some of those nights were better than others but three for three is amazing. With my flight in being delayed by a day, I didn't see as much of Helsinki as I would have liked so I guess I need to go back. I did really enjoy the very civilized way of travel via ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn and Tallinn is a lovely city. We happened to be there on Estonian Independence Day and also the first anniversary of the Ukrainian invasion by the Russians so there were parades and protests. Very interesting day. By far my favorite parts of the trip were the Husky sled drive (I was teemed up with someone that didn't want to drive them, only ride, so I got to drive the entire 9K, which was awesome but I didn't get to take any video of the ride because driving) and the 2nd night of the northern lights. A funny thing on the husky ride, to stop them, you have to put all your weight on the brake that grabs the snow/ice...even with all my weight on the brake, putting my booty in chair position and leaning all the way back, they were still able to pull the sled, although in a very slow and choppy fashion. Let me just say that before WLS I would have been more worried about if they could pull with me on it versus worrying about if I could stop them.
I've got my workout in for the day, a very intense pilates cardio class that left me with all over body shakes...in fact, I'm typing this from the basement, recovering my energy to walk back up the stairs. I will be catching up on some reading, doing my taxes and the laundry today and I need to go through my last day of pictures and whatever I captured on my GoPro on the snowmobile ride, if anything. I am not good with the go pro. That seems like a lot to do today so I might not.
Menu today
coffee plus half and half X2
pistachio muffin
skyr or a barebells bar; I found a couple different flavors in Finland that we don't have here and I have the rocky road one left (the other on was banana and if they sell it here I would love it)
crustless pizza
Have a wonderful monday everyone!

No, I had planned on it but then ended up driving the whole time so I wasn't able to.

Welcome back. Your husky ride sounds delightful. Is the ride smooth or jerky? What a thrill to actually drive them.

It was super cold so very smooth and fast. They said when it's slushy, it's not as fast and smooth

Welcome home from your wonderful trip. I can't wait to see pictures. The dog sledding sounds so fun, I can't believe the other person didn't want to drive. That would be half the fun of the experience.
