Yes, one down! and yes brains have done some great things over the centuries and my great talent is over thinking things that may never happen LOL

Everything else is OK, bit of casual discomfort left side of belly from time to time, after meal or if I sleep on it. Surgeon says it will happen from time to time during first 3-6 months and is to do with food flow in small intestine or something to that effect. So I believe him, my brain doesn't always haha

Over the next few months, you (and others) will start to really notice your progress and hopefully those positives will begin overwhelm your remaining concerns.

Good morning Mel and weekend menuers,

Mel, you've made a ton of chainmaille this week, wow! Glad it helps to keep the mind busy.

Speaking of which, I lost my early morning to a genealogy rabbit hole. My mother really wanted a picture of my grandparents grave for my uncle. Apparently my grandfather designed the cross on the grave and it's become a bit of a hot topic. Since my grandmother died in 1990 and I don't remember ever seeing my grandfather again, my child brain couldn't tell you where they were. I know their names, the year she died, and the state they're in. I've been looking on and off since Xmas and finally got enough links to find them. Check that off, I guess.

Today is laundry, cleaning, and really need to take the dogs to town for a trim. Also need to pack my stuff for the next half week and everything that will come with it, so no food prep here. I'll leave tomorrow and not be home until Wednesday night.

QOTD- I loved kayaking. And I did archery in middle school. I only tend to watch non mainstream things so won't go into that. No form of sportsball here.

Accountability- I stopped by a hibachi place and got a chicken and shrimp entree with no rice, double veggies. Ate all the protein without sharing and picked out the broccoli, zucchini, and a few carrots. Scale was up today.

Exercise - getting the dog in his harness. But really, elliptical. Hoping to get back to simple pilates soon.

Menu - Ratio yogurt, last of the turkey taco stuff, blueberries, seaweed, maybe some eggs I need to use.

Cheers, everyone!

If you know where they are, you may be able to find a photo of their gravesite on findagrave.com. If not, you can put in a request on the (findagrave) site for a photo of it, and hopefully some findagrave member who lives in that area will see your request and take and upload a picture. I need to take some pics in response to requests when the weather warms up around here. I've had people do it for me, so I need to reciprocate!

Funny you say that - that's where I found the picture this morning. The guy who uploaded it makes that same request in his profile. If it helped you to find a grave of a relative, go do the same for others! I always liked to visit old graveyards but don't have a clue what's around here. I'll have to take a look. Thanks for reciprocating for the community! I really do need to find ways to engage better.

Mornin' All!

My cookbook discussion group meets today over lunch (everyone brings a dish that came from the featured cookbook). Other than that, nothing really going on this weekend. I *still* haven't done very much reading for my classes, and I'd better do it or I'll be sorry! I've been very distracted by redactle puzzles for the last few days (I have a cousin to thank for telling me about redactle - UGH!!). I love it, but some of those puzzles take a few hours to solve. I learn a lot about various topics while doing them, so it's not a total waste of time, but still - I need to be doing other things, too!

QOTD: favorite sport to watch is women's ice hockey. I don't know if this is a "sport" (or at least not the way I do it), but bicycling for sure. I live for warm weather when I can get out on my bike. i often ride 2-3 hours a day in the summer.

B: plain skyr and fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: I'll be at the potluck/meeting, so not entirely sure, but someone is bringing chili (which I will not eat since it contains ground beef and ketchup, both of which I avoid), someone else is bringing a macaroni salad (which features diced ham & cheese, so I may have some of that). Another person is bringing some kind of whole-grain bread. Can't remember what else people are bringing, but I know there were a couple of desserts listed on the sign-up sheet, too. I'm bringing a cottage cheese/raisin pie - so that'll be my dessert choice. At least it has protein in it.

AS: doubtful due to the lunch

D: more leftover food from my friend's memorial gathering. A skewer or two of chicken satay and a cup of fresh fruit, most likely

have a great day, everyone!

Woo! You found a non "cream of" casserole dish to bring that sounds...interesting! Hope it goes well and you find enough things to try.

this has been my least favorite cookbook of those we've reviewed, because all the recipes are from little small town cafes in Wisconsin. So basically, mid-century Midwestern fare. Like the kind of recipes you'd find in church cookbooks Not my thing. At all. Although there were a couple of them that looked OK (including the pie I brought), so we managed and the potluck turned out to be OK!

Good morning ~ It's a lovely day already! I have a big ole coffee and all is right with the world. There is a break in the rain right now thankfully as everything is so flooded. Hopefully we can get a dog walk in before it starts again. We may go do something, but I'd be just as happy to just stay home and putz around the house.

QOTD - My favorite sport to play is golf, to watch is football - ESPECIALLY Tom Brady (haters gonna hate). He is now retired but far from gone and still the GOAT.

Accountability - glorious fried taco for dinner, no regrets

b- tons of coffee, eggs w/cheese

l- possibly egg foo young - out, otherwise - more eggs

d - pork chops, green beans

e - walk possibly and yoga

Have a wonderful day!!

LOL. Do agree Brady is the GOAT of football but I still don't like him...to each our own!
