What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

This one is for you, Sheila!

And this is a real screenshot of a headline that came through as breaking news on my phone yesterday. I swear it wasn't me.

Happy Friday! I was a big old lump yesterday. No idea why, but I couldn't concentrate or motivate. I can't account for the day at all, except for a little bit of baking, one paper written, and I watched all of the Murdaugh Murders show on Netflix. I MUST motivate today.

Photo Friday = cookies. Love these butterflies! And I randomly made a shamrock shake cookie yesterday, haha.

QOTD: What reality show would you like to be on? When I was in my 20s I totally wanted to be on the Real World. My BFF and I applied for the Boston season! I also wanted to be on Trading Spaces at the time, haha. But now I want to be on The Great British Bake Off!

B: Protein Coffee & egg bites

S: cheese stick

L: Costco street tacos

D: chicken, probably?

Hello there

I watched the Murdaugh series on Netflix, amazed me considering the case is being heard right now. Intrigued to see what happens now.

QOTD; only reality show I would ever consider is Gogglebox (a show where you basically watch people watch TV - sounds weird I know but it's so bloody hilarious)

food wise, ramping up slightly to get more calories in with shake, savoury mince and yogurts.

Have a wonderful day.

Happy Fri-yay, menuers!

JB, love those butterflies! They remind me of Dutch porcelain.

QOTD- Not for me, this one.

I'm going to the office today to make up for not going yesterday. Feels like I'm falIing more and more behind in the last two months with how much needs to be done versus how many hours I can realistically work. An amendment yesterday and part of a negotiation took up fully half my day. Lawyers are truly lovely people but sometimes I need an interpreter to understand the logic. And sometimes the best solution is to lock them all in a cage and let them fight it out. But really, getting everyone on a Zoom can slice through layers of email and bureaucracy like butter.

I kinda forgot that I have to fly to Dallas super early Monday for the summit. The end of February sure can sneak up on you so I was thinking there was another week. I'm the only person from my company on the docket for this event and have received half a dozen emails from people requesting meetings in the past day. This doesn't include a single person from the list of people I'd like to meet with. Most of the time at conferences is spent networking. Makes me a bit sad that I won't make it to some of the sessions as a result but that's part of the gig.

I have a small part to play the second day, so I'm looking forward to receiving the deck and reports that support the session I'm involved in.

This lovely event does also mean I'll have to post promotional LinkedIn updates. I've discussed my concerns with HR and my boss, so they're okay with me posting on the way out so I'm not location sharing. Per the advice of some folks here, I did speak with the police about options. There is really only one, which would require a court date in my state and literally invite my problem here, so for now I'm staying the course, informing friends and family, and documenting everything.

I've been catching up on laundry and took a hard look at the clothes I have left. I've offloaded almost all the bottoms that are too big but I've been hoarding my winter shirts. I already got cold easily and keep turning to my familiar cowl neck/turtleneck/mock neck shirts, even though almost all of them are now huge on me. So, I did a little online retail therapy. Shopping in the clearance sections and not spending more than $10 per piece, I got several replacements in sizes M-L that will start arriving tomorrow. Guess this is a good body test since I still look at things and think...there's no way that will fit. Once these come in, I'm committing to get rid of all shirts over XL. I think. These are harder!

Accountability- Unplanned Mary's Gone Crackers super seed. Still whole grains.

Exercise - A bit of elliptical. Recumbent bike crunches up my innards. Amazing how quickly you can lose the endurance you work for.

Menu - Ratio yogurt x2, turkey taco casserole, three more lamb slices, blueberries, seaweed.

Sharing an update photo for funsies. The outfits are the same except that in the newer photo, I don't have an extra tank top underneath. And apparently in the new picture, I was standing one step farther back, which made a huge difference in lighting. Given that these are taken in a work bathroom, I was keen to snap and run, so excuse the inconsistencies. Pic on the left is from December 5th. Pic on the right is February 22nd. 20 pound difference between the two. Figure I'll do at least one more in a couple months.

I've been taking measurements (down 18 inches in hips and 14.5 from waist since start) but never liked pictures of me outside of the random attempts to get a good selfie with young dog, who for some reason is dead set against it. It's meant some funny pics, though.

Have an amazing day, everyone!

Thanks Jim! I just Googled and it looks like 70's while I'm in town with no chance of rain. I'll take it, especially since I'll be hoofing it the half mile between hotels. There's always Uber but I'd rather walk!

I'm grateful that you're doing as much as you can to stay safe and that you're able to post things after the fact. Great transformation pic!

Thanks! I was surprised at how accommodating my boss is being, specifically. Very appreciative, though! And yep, those jeans don't provide compression functions anymore, for sure. At least. Not my thighs.
